YOUR GENOTYPE

Yesterday, by the help of the Holy Spirit, we were taught as husbands that we are shepherds. We recognized also that we are not only shepherds, but we are ordained shepherds. However, today, let us consider something very interesting from Zechariah 11: 15; 17. The Scripture says, and the Lord said unto me, take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

GREEN GRASS (2)

Yesterday, the Holy Spirit helped husbands to appreciate the greenery of their pastures and I am confident all husbands are grateful. But why should the grass be green and why must I be the person to keep it lurched ever green? In Psalms 23, the word of God says the Lord is my shepherd. If God is your Shepherd because He is your head,

HUSBANDS, BREAK THE BONDAGE

And ought not this woman, being the daughter if Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, this eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day (Luke 13:16). Every time you hold bitterness against your wife and children, you have spiritually put them in prison and chains. When you refuse to forgive your wife and children when they offend you, you have kept them in bondage. That is why as much as you try to pray, you find it difficult to. In fact your freedom is limited. Your flock becomes like the woman in bondage in our main text today

REAL HUSBANDS DON’T CHEAT

Real husbands don’t cheat on their wives. As a husband and the spiritual guidance of your wife and children, you don’t gain anything cheating on your wife. You lose everything, including your life. Romans 13: 14 says: But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. Your real worth as a husband and leader is living honestly with your wife and children (Romans 13: 13).

YOUR ARMS AROUND THEM

The Scripture of our main text today is one of the most emotional and compassionate actions of Jesus, the Head of all husbands. I encourage every husband to do to his wife and children what Jesus did to the little children who came to him. The Bible tells us in (Mark 16: 16) … and he took them (children) up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them. Oh! What a way

BEYOND THE MOMENT!

If you become angry, do not let your anger lead you into sin, and do not stay angry all day. Don’t give the Devil a chance (Ephesians 4: 26-27). As the head of your family and the spiritual leader in your home, your sweetest victory is to overcome anger. This is what informs today’s devotional. It is human to be angry when your wife or child does something that displeases you.

THE UNDERTAKER (2)

Yesterday, the Person of the Holy Spirit taught us the importance of who we are as heads of our families, and warned us not to be the people who will prepare our members of our flocks for death and eventual burial by our conduct and attitude. For example a father who always refers his son or daughter as dullard, dummy etc may be implanting a wrong mindset in that child, to the extent that he or she may assume that nothing good will come out of him or she which may end up being so. If that is it, has he not simply prepared the coffin in which his child will be buried?
