Praise God for His goodness and mercy all through the year 2015. In a few hours from now, you and I shall be crossing over into the New Year, 2016. I wish you and your family, a new path way of peace and joy and progress in the year 2016 in Jesus name, amen. But take a moment and reflect on your relationship with your wife and children. Can you say that you were a better husband in 2015 than in the previous years? Can you say of indeed that you have been a better father to your children in the year 2015? Did you see positive changes in the lives of your wife and children? Can you say that your conduct, utterances and attitude toward your wife and children have inspired confidence in their lives? How much influence did you have in the good reports coming out from your children’s school results and your wife’s life? Have you been a husband and father indeed to your wife and children? Take today to reflect on these salient questions? If you truly consider them, they would guide your decisions to be a better husband and father in the year 2016. Don’t enter 2016 with your old habits, which had pitched you against your wife and children in the year 2015. Don’t think that you can continue to live carelessly as a husband and father and expect your flocks to honour you in 2016. Don’t wish to be a better husband and father. Act responsibly to be one. In Philippians chapter 4 and verses 6 to 8, the Scriptures give a good template for you to appraise your life. It says, be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT, if there by any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS. May the good Lord bless you. May God cause His face to shine upon up you. May the Lord keep you. May the Lord be gracious unto you. May the Lord give you peace. Shalom!
