Don’t Settle For Less

A lot of the times, our thoughts are in conflict with our words. You cannot be thinking of the worst for your flocks and expect to see the best in their lives. This place a demand on you to ensure that the thoughts you allow into your heart agrees with the plan of God for your flocks. This is the more reason why Ps.51:10 remains your greatest prayer points as a husband. It says create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. You must have the right spirit towards your wife and children if you want to settle for the best and not the less for them.

Learning Is Good, Practice Is Better!

The subject we are looking at today is a caption I read on a billboard while I was on my way back from a mission work in Keffi, Nasarawa state. And the Holy Spirit impressed it in my heart to relate it with husbands, who are the heads of their families. The Scripture clearly states that it is not enough for us as spiritual leaders to know what we are commanded to do to our wives and children. It is much more profitable to do what we know.

Jesus And The Samaritan Woman

The story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman is as inspiring as the relationship between the husband and his wife. Jesus met the woman at the well and asked her to give Him water. In the course of their conversation, Jesus told her about her life- she had had more than three husbands and even the man she was staying with was not her husband. She was surprised. Her life was not anything anybody should celebrate.
