“There is a husband reading this devotional today. You have in your hands negative reports from the hospital about the health status of your wife and child. There is still yet another husband, who is holding in his hands his termination letter. There is yet another husband, who is struggling to meet up with his financial obligations to his family. The Holy Spirit says that the kingdom is the Lord’s. What He has said to you and in your direction is over and above what anyone says or whatever the economy or circumstance looks”, saith the Holy Spirit.

Just as I was closing the write up for yesterday, the Person of the Holy Spirit stirred up the above prophecy in my heart for a husband and I know that God cannot lie. So I know it is for a reader of this devotional. In Ps.22:28, the Scripture says, for the kingdom is the Lord’s and he is the governor among the nations.

As the head of your family, it is important for you to know that every kingdom, be it financial, economy, social, career, and relational belongs to God, Who made you a husband. He rules in the midst of His people, hence His authority is final, far above what anyone says or thinks or anything else. He is also the Governor of all governors. And because governors have the final authority in their states, then it is uncontestably true that God’s decision cannot be queried. He has promised to make you ride upon the high places of the earth. He is committed to make you triumph in the works of your hands. He has made adequate provision for you to live in plenty, abounding unto every good works. He has set the path of wealth and riches and honour and blessing and strength for you (Rev.5:12). So whatever God has said, in any area of life for you in any part of the world on any matter, takes preeminence over all other commands. I pray for you dear husband that this understanding will help you to be confident wherever you are to declare as the song writer, Don Moen would say, GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME, GOD IS GOOD.

·         Father, by Your Spirit, help me to hold onto Your promises all time.

·         Father, deliver me from the force of discouragement and despair.

·         Father, fill me with hope and faith that You are faithful in all things all the time.

I walk after the promises of the Kingdom of God because I am created to be blessed as a good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus name. Amen.
