Main Scriptures: Php.4:8
More Scriptures: 2Cor.13:11, Eph.6:10, Php.3:1
By the grace of God and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the past 60 days have been full of deep encounters with the truth of God’s word. As husbands and heads of our families, we have been empowered, motivated and inspired to be good and godly husbands to our flock. I pray that the blessings and encounters remain with every reader forever in Jesus name. I pray that the grace to be a hearer and doer of the word be released to you in Jesus name. Amen. Now on this last day, the Person of the Holy Spirit has a final word for you. And what is that? Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be one mind, live in peace and the God of love and peace shall be with you (2Cor.13:11). As the head of your family and the spiritual leader in your family kingdom, grow up, be of good comfort and live in peace with your flock and God. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might (Eph.6:10).
As the husband over your wife and father over your children and as spiritual guide in the home, you will come across actions from your flock that would want to discourage you. But the word of God says be “strong”, not in your expertise, money, influence or position, but in the Lord Jesus Christ. His grace is sufficient for you to lead your flock the same way He led the 12 (church). Finally, brethren, rejoice in the Lord.. (Php.3:1). You are the representative of Jesus Christ to your wife and children. You must continue to fill your heart with songs and spiritual hymns to stir up rejoicing in your life. So you seize every opportunity to serve your flock as a platform to please the Lord. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things (Php.4:8). As the leader in your family fold and as you lead your wife and children, let your actions and intentions be guided by Php.4:8. If what you want to do either in secret or in the open, is not true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report don’t do it. You are more than just a husband; you are a pastor, shepherd, priest and prophet. Let it count, POSITIVELY.
· Father, by Your Spirit, pour upon me the Spirit of servant-hood.
· Father, by Your Spirit, empower me to demonstrate faithfulness to my wife and children.
· Father deliver me from deceit and deception.
I will be responsible first to my wife and children before outsiders because that’s what makes me a good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
