Husbands Observe And Do

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Deuteronomy 8:1

More Scriptures:  Jn.14:26, Jn.16:13, Hos.14:8

God’s commandments to you as the head of the family are for your OBSERVATION AND DOING.  His instructions are for you to first observe and then do. And it is in your willingness to do what you have observed that adds value to you as the spiritual head of the family. God has said so many things, but it will require your commitment to explore the book that contains the instructions. Many husbands have nothing to observe. They don’t learn from observation. There are various opportunities that God brings our ways as heads of our families from where we can learn through observation. The eyes that God gave you and I as the head of the family are for observation. There are books that discuss your position. There are seminars for husbands. There are examples of good and godly husbands that abound everywhere that we all come across. It is in your responsibility to open your eyes wide and observe. I can tell you that one of the secrets that has helped me as the head of my family is the power of observation.

I do just allow things to go the way they appear. I go further to study the success and failures of people and events and draw lessons from them. I tried to find out what is God’s will for my person as the head of the family and that of my flock. I observe the families that are obviously successful, especially when I visit their homes. And I can tell you that I have learnt so much from this divine strategy, which God Himself gave to us in Deut.8:1. God says, all the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye OBSERVE to DO. There are so many things that you may not have the opportunity to access until you put your observation skill to work, through the help of the Holy Spirit. In Jn.14:26, the Word of God says, but the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Note the word, teach. In Jn.16:13, the Scriptures say that the Holy Spirit is capable of showing you things. In Hos.14:8, it says I have heard him and OBSERVED him. Therefore, put to use your ears to hear and eyes to see so that you can do those that you have observed in order to please God and become a better husband and leader.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, by Your Spirit, open my eyes to see beyond the object and into deep revelation.

·         Father, by Your Spirit, show me the things that I need to know about my position as the head of my family.

·         Father, empower me by Your Spirit to obey all Your commandments in all things and at all times.

FAITH CONFESSION

I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and by Him I walk in obedience to all His commandments because that is what makes me a good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
