Safety And Quietness

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Proverbs 1:33

More Scriptures: Eph.6:4, Col.3:21, Pro.19:18

But whoso hearkeneth unto me SHALL DWELL SAFELY AND SHALL BE QUIET FROM FEAR OF EVIL (Pro.1:33)

Every time you do the right thing to your wife and children according to what God expects of you, you enjoy the blessings of the Lord. And one of the blessings that you enjoy is safety and quietness. From our Bible passage, the word of God says that when you harken to do His will for the sheep He has committed into your care, you shall dwell safely and peacefully. You have peace of mind and peace with your wife and children. As the head of the family, if you are faithful to your wife, you will not be afraid of who calls you or sends you a text message. You will not decode your numbers or caller identification. You will not also be sacred of picking incoming calls into your phone. Infact, you will freely leave your phone around the home.

When you obey God by teaching your children in the way and admonition of the Lord you will not be afraid of your tomorrow and the future of your children. In Eph.6:4, the word of God says, and ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is your responsibility to bring your children up and not your wife. The success or failure of your children is determined by your willingness to obey God’s instructions regarding nurturing your children. Also as the head of the family, you have been instructed to do all things decently. This means that the words that come out of your mouth and the conduct of your life towards your wife and children must bring glory and honour unto God. But if you abuse your wife and children emotionally and physically, you will not enjoy quietness at home. The word of God says that obedience is better than sacrifice. Safety and quietness is your heritage as a husband. Walk with God, do what He says you should do and enjoy peace and quietness with your flock.

·         Father, in the name of Jesus, have mercy upon me for disobeying Your instructions.

·         Father, in the name of Jesus, grant me the grace to obey all Your commandments.

·         Father, in the name of Jesus, save me from a haughty spirit.

I obey all the commandments of God and therefore enjoy peace and quietness with my wife and children because that is the reward of a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
