Bold Steps Of Faith

The topic for today was inspired in my spirit man at a meeting. And I am confident that it is to bless a reader. You need bold steps of faith and not a bold face to become a fruitful husbandman. As the head of your family and the spiritual leader in your home, the Scriptures are given to you for your good. Every instruction God has given for the office of the husbandman from His word is to help you become a better man, husband and father. But you need to take bold steps of faith to live out the word of God in your family fold. Jesus Christ, the perfect example of a good and godly husband said, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mk.9:23). You need bold steps of faith to stand in the gap in prayers for your wife and children when they have offended you. You also need the bold steps of faith to change your status from a dependent husband to a great provider. As the head of your family, faith is a vital requirement for your triumph in your family fold. In fact, you need faith to do those things that please God.

So, how do I walk in faith to enhance my profits as the head of my family? Firstly, you must feed your spirit man with the word of God regularly. The Scripture says, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom.10:17). The more you give attention to the word of God in seeking His plan for your life as the husbandman, the stronger you become to take bold steps of faith. You become empowered to care for your flock when they do not deserve it. Secondly, you must engage the weapon of prayer. This is why I encourage every husband to make prayer a lifestyle. As the spiritual leader in your home, praying should be like the air you breathe. It was after the disciples have tarried in prayers that they become empowered to speak boldly and won many souls to Jesus (Act.1). Thirdly, you must discipline your tongue so that it doesn’t speak wrong even in the face of provocation. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight…. Therefore, walk in faith in God and His word and let it define your actions to your wife and children.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, embolden me with the Spirit of faith as I lead my flock.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, open my heart to receive Your words.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to discipline my tongue to keep speaking faith and not doubt.

FAITH CONFESSION

I take bold steps of faith in my leadership role in my family because that is what empowers me to become a good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
