All Things Are Possible

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Matt.19:25-26

More Scriptures: Heb.11:2, Rom.10:10, Gal.4:19

Today’s message is written to stir up faith in the heart of a husband whose wife is threatening to leave the marriage and whose children have derailed and gone the way of the world. It doesn’t matter the challenges you are confronted with in your position as the head of your family, they can be overcome. And that is what Jesus Christ, the perfect example of a good and godly husband, tells us in Matt.19:25-26. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, with men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.

I want you to note the word all. Jesus did not say some. He said all things are possible. So, it is possible for your wife who may have abandoned her duties as woman, wife and mother to be restored. It is possible for the health of your wife and children to be recovered. It is possible for your wayward son or daughter to be reconciled with you. It is possible for peace to return to your sheepfold. It is possible for you to love your wife again. It is possible for you to get back your job that you lost. It is possible for God to overturn the medical reports that you and our wife cannot have children and make you a father.

I want you to read this testimony from a reader of the devotional as a pointer to the truth that all things are possible.

“I have been having problems in my marriage awhile now to a point my wife wants to leave the marriage. I have been praying and asking God to make me the man He wants me to be- a good father, husband and godly man. As I said the devotional has been my drive. But the situation is making me tired and weary. My wife is bitter, angry and cold. We had gone for counseling and did family life ministry yet the situation has not changed.  Sometimes I feel like letting go but I promised the kids I won't leave. T.J”

However, two vital requirements are needed for you to walk in possibility-mentality. The first is your faith. The Scripture says, all things are possible to him that believes. And in Heb.11:2, the word of God tells us that for by faith, the elders obtained a good report. Good report is possible for you only when you exercise faith in God and His ability. The second is for you to fight the good fight of faith. And you fight on your knees and with your mouth (Gal.4:19; Rom.10:10).

 SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with a possibility mentality.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to fight for my sheepfold and my sheep.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, save me from every spirit of discouragement and hopelessness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I refuse to give up on God, my wife, my children and my sheepfold because I am empowered by the Spirit of God to be victorious as a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
