Premium Brand

As the husband and the head of your family, have you ever stepped back to ask what you are really made of? Have you asked what kind of brand God has made you to be? Have you ever considered how special you are to God and the very important place you occupy in His plan for your family fold? If you have never bothered to ask these questions, now is the time to do so. This is because God made you a premium brand; an indispensable component in the wheel of your sheepfold and the lives of your wife and children.

And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created him…… (Gen.1:26-28)

Now consider the above creation process that God had to go through to make you and the power that He put inside of you, and the principal way God wants you to demonstrate the richness of your heritage as the head in your family fold. So God established the family and put you there to oversee, rule, dominate and influence all the players in the sheepfold. And God said it is not good that the man should be alone, I will make him a help meet for him (Gen.2:18). As the head of your family, God has positioned you to play very important roles in the lives of your wife and children. God has deposited inside of you so much power to influence your wife and children for God. God has made you a man of dominion. So, it is impossible for you to be in command of your sheep. It is very possible for you to guide, teach, empower, inspire and motivate your wife and children. In fact, it is possible for you to destroy every ungodly influence that motivates your wife to dishonor and disrespect you and your children to rebel against you.

But for you to operate as a premium brand in your sheepfold, there three steps you must take. The first is for you to move from being born again to being sanctified. And this requires you to make Jesus Christ the Lord over your life, decision, conduct, thoughts, will and finances. That is exchanging your life for His life (2 Cor.2:15). The second step is to place a demand on God for you to make the most of your heritage as a man, husband and father (Phil.2:13).You must ask the Lord to help you act like a premium brand. Don’t assume. Ask God in prayers (Matt.7:7). Thirdly, you must act like a premium brand because as a man thinks in his heart so is he. You are not an average husband, you are an awesome husband.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to function as a premium brand to my flock.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a valuable asset to my wife and children.

·         Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to remain a premium brand to my sheep.

FAITH CONFESSION

God has made me a premium brand and therefore, I add value to the lives of my wife and children because that is what makes me a good and godly husband in Jesus Name. Amen.
