SATAN INFLUENCED THEM

Many husbands have concluded that their wives did rock the boat of their family fold. Some have gone as far as tagging their wives as witches and the cause of the problems in the sheepfold. But the word of God has proven that satan is the influence behind their misbehavior. Your wife and children were not created to be merchants of evil. Sin and the world instigated them to act irresponsibly. So, every negative attitude that you see your sheep manifest, you must know that an unseen force is behind their action. That force is satan and it is called the prince of the power of the air. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (Eph.2:1-2)

When Peter was inappropriately, Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the godly shepherd, did not attack Peter directly. He addressed the power behind his misbehavior. Jesus commanded the spirit to get thee behind Peter.  It is the works of the flesh that influence your wife to speak reproachfully to you. A force higher than her is working the wind of disobedience. It is the power of the prince of the air that has made your children to disrespect, dishonor and rebel against you. And the only reason why satan is influencing your sheep against you is to steal your peace, kill your hope and destroy your sheepfold (Jn.10:10). All the troubles you are having with your wife and children are intended by the devil to destroy your glorious family life. God has ordained your home and family to be a garden of honour and blessing.

So, how do I handle this challenge as the shepherd of the sheep? Firstly, you must recognize that you are not fighting against flesh and blood. You are fighting against unseen powers, principalities in high places. This will help you to shift your focus from your sheep to the real enemy-satan and his agents. Secondly, you must engage the weapon of the blood of Jesus Christ by speaking over it your sheep. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of thy testimony (Rev.12:11).  You must understand that as the head of the family and overseer of your wife and children, your position will be continually threatened by the devil. He is afraid that your godly influence would lead your wife and children to heaven and make them positive influences on the earth. So, don’t beat up your wife; don’t deny her your good benevolence; don’t be aggressive to your children; don’t wish them evil. Deal with the root, satan and you would have set your wife and children free from all negative influences. Therefore, the next time your wife and child(ren) misbehave, bind the devil and its operations and command him to get out of the lives of your sheep.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I take authority over the influence of satan and I command him to get out of the lives of my sheep.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I exercise the power in Jesus and I overcome every works of ungodliness in the life of my wife and children.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I impart upon my sheep the spirit of obedience.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am a husband of power and strength; I take control over the lives of my sheep and secure them from ungodly influences because I am the good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
