PERFECTED TO DO HIS WILL (1)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Heb.13:20-21

More Scriptures: Gen.17:1, Gen.18:19, Job 1:1

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (Heb.13:20-21).

The will of God for you as His representative to your wife and children and the world is to be perfect in every good work. God wants you to be perfect in your spiritual walk, in your finances, in your health, in your relationships, in your mind and every aspect of your life. God wants you to grow unto maturity. God wants you to walk before Him and be perfect (matured)-Gen.17:1. As the head of your family, you have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the will of God. The day you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and the day you signed on to occupy the office of the husbandman was the day you were engraced by God.

God wants you to have a testimony in the fashion that Sarah’s husband had. For I know him (Abraham), that he will command his children and his household after him and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken (Gen.18:19). You must understand that every challenge you may have encountered is meant to build you up into a perfected head. So, don’t despise the challenges because that is where your testimonies are birthed. Don’t wish you never got married. Don’t wish you had remained a bachelor. Being a husband is the greatest platform God has created for you and I to demonstrate His nature, character, attitude and virtues to our flocks from a close range. All of Jesus in you is all of Jesus to your wife and children through your life.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to live above the flesh and its attractions.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk in the Spirit.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am no longer a child but a matured man by the Spirit of God because that is what I need to function as a good and godly husband to my wife and children in Jesus Name. Amen.
