Prophecy: There is a husband, who is reading this devotional and wondering how to resolve the problem he is having with his wife and children. He is wondering how to get his wife and children to submit to him in all things. The Holy Spirit said, look up to the hills (Jesus Christ) for in Him you will find all the help that you need.
As the head of your family and the spiritual leader over your wife and children, you will have occasion when you don’t seem to know what to do concerning your flock. Sometimes, satan reminds you of how weak and irresponsible you have been over the years. He shows you pictures of your wife and children as good-for-nothing people that do not deserve your life, compassion, mercy, sacrifice and loyalty. But as the good and godly shepherd, you must understand that looking to your parents, friends and relations will not provide you the guaranteed help. It is in God through Jesus Christ you can find help.
In Ps.121:1-3, the Scripture says, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved, he that keepeth thee will not slumber (Ps.121:1-3). God sent you to lead your wife and children. He has provided everything that you would require to succeed as a good and godly husbandman. But you have a personal responsibility to look to Him for His help. He is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. He can provide one revelation that will keep you in command of your family kingdom. So, how do I look up?
The major way to look up is to make a quality decision to focus on God and His promises and not be distracted. In Matt.6:22, the word of God says that if thy eyes be single, your whole body will be full of light (Matt.6:22). The light you need to overcome the dark areas of your life is when you maintain singleness of heart. That is absolute trust in Jesus Christ. You must be determined to run to God by engaging Him in a conversation on what to do and how to go about your rulership in your sheepfold. Secondly, you must learn to pray to God in faith. God has the master key that would unlock the door of submission and respect you desire from your wife and children. If you ask Him, He will reveal the secrets to you. Here what the Scriptures say for you. Call unto me and I will answer you and I will show great and mighty things which thou know not (Jer.33:3). Look up to Him.

- Father, by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, break the power of distraction in my life.
- Father, by the power of the Holy Ghost, empower me to be focused on You alone.
- Father, by the blood of Jesus Christ, deliver me from the attraction of another god.

I have made up my mind to look up to God through Jesus Christ because He has the answers to all the questions I have that will advance my position as a good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
