UNDERSTANDING THE COOL OF THE DAY

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Gen.3:8-9

More Scriptures: Pro.16:28, Pro.10:23, Lk.2:40

As the head, prophet, pastor, shepherd, king, and leader of your family, have you ever considered the importance of the cool of the day? Do you know the significance of the cool of the day? Do you know what happens in the cool of the day? By the grace of God and the help of my Greatest Teacher, the Holy Spirit, I will be sharing with you the secrets of the cool of the day and how I have engaged it to faithfully lead my wife and children. And very importantly, how I have engaged it to resolve issues that appeared difficult during the daytime. I pray that the same Spirit that made me to obtain the attention of my wife on matters that appeared challenging and knotty and has given me peace and joy as a result shall manifest in you as you apply this wisdom.

And they heard the voice of the Lord GOD WALKING in the garden on the COOL OF THE DAY, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord GOD CALLED Adam, and said unto him, where art thou? (Gen.3:8-9). Do you know that the best time to get the attention of your wife is in the cool of the day? Do you know that the best time to make those changes you desire to see in the lives of your wife and children is in your prayer altar in the cool of the day? The cool of the day is the early hours of the morning when all nerves have calmed down and when all heads are relaxed. As the head of your family, you will do much more mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually in the cool of the day, because of the following reasons. Firstly, God walks in the cool of the day. Secondly, God’s presence is evident in the cool of the day. Thirdly, we get the attention of God because He calls us to fellowship in the cool of the day. Whether you want to pray or discuss important matters with your wife or children, the cool of the day is God’s moment of solution. Sometime ago, I wasn’t happy about certain expectations from my wife. And I knew that I needed to discuss it with her. I asked the Holy Spirit to show me the best way I could get her attention. That was when revelation came from Genesis chapter 3 verses 8 and 9. So, I waited for the cool of the day. I discussed with her not from the point of defence but from the point of helping her understand my expectation, firsthand. She was relaxed and God opened her eyes to see what I expected from her. From that day to the glory of God till this moment that you are reading this devotional, it has been from one level of improvement to another. Take advantage of the cool of the day. It answers anytime.

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, calm every tension between my wife and I and give us peace.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to order my conversation with my wife in wisdom.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to have self-control over my emotions.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have the mind of Christ and I operate in His wisdom to take advantage of the cool of the day to resolve challenges with my sheep because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.
