POWER WITH GOD

Did you know that without the power of God at work in your life as the shepherd, you will live a defeated life? Did you also know that what satan, sin and the world understand is power and nor grammar? It is the power of God at work in your life that gives you victory over every form of ungodly tendencies in the lives of your sheep and sheepfold. Your human strength will fail you in the challenges that come with leading your wife and children. This is why I encourage you to give attention to today’s teaching so that you can grow in power for a victorious life as the head of your family.

As the head of your family, you have power with God. When God called you to lead your wife and children, He knew that there will be mountains to overcome, obstacles to upturn and enemies to triumph over. So, He empowered you. In Genesis chapter 1 and verses 26-28, God empowered you to have dominion over all. So, the seed of dominion is in you. All you need to do is to activate your dominion and authority in faith by Jesus Christ.

I have seen the power of God manifested in my life as a shepherd and I would like to share a striking one with you to encourage you. It happened some years ago. My first child came back from school someday with bumps all over her body. I thought it was normal and that it would go with time. Unfortunately, as the day went by, her condition grew worse. My wife and I took sought for medical help. The medical personnel recommended some drugs. My wife and I went from one pharmacy to another, we couldn’t get the drugs to buy. As I got to the last pharmacy store and did get it, I got angry in my spirit and went home ready to meet with my Healer. While I was asleep, I had an encounter with God. He told me to lay my daughter’s tithe booklet on her and read out Malachi 3:10. As I woke up from that divine visitation, I knew I had contacted power with God. With this empowerment, my wife and I did as God had commanded. And instantly, my girl that was twice her size, because of the affliction, deflated instantaneously. To God alone be all the glory.

As the head of the family, God has given you power to provide security, succor, anchor and protection for your wife and children. Your headship does not only make you a provider, it also makes you a carrier of healing virtues. In Luke 10:19, the Scriptures say I have given YOU AUTHORITY over all the power of the enemies. You have authority over that sickness that is troubling your wife and children. You can stop that harassment of the enemy against your sheepfold. You must walk in this reality. Stop watching your wife and children and home suffer. Go on the offensive. God has given all authority. Don’t fail God.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to exercise the authority in Your name over every attack against my wife and children.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of fear.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, restore the dignity of my position as the head and spiritual authority of my sheepfold.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have power with God, and I exercise His power and authority over satan, sin, and the world because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus’ name. Amen.
