HIS TOUCH MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE (2)

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: Luke 4:39-40

More Scriptures: Lk.4:40, Mk.3:24, Ecc.4:12

Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto Him, and HE LAID HIS HANDS ON EVERYONE OF THEM AND HEALED THEM (Lk.4:40).

Yesterday, by the help of the Holy Spirit, we understand that as heads of our families, we have virtues in us. And we need to communicate these virtues of assurance, hope, kindness and faithfulness to our wives through our physical touch of a kiss, a hug or sexual intimacy. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you and I will take advantage of this mystery of a touch and intentionally and deliberately connect with our wives physically-kiss, hug and sexual intimacy.

Now, what does your touch do to your relationship with your wife? Firstly, your touch connects your soul and that of your wife together. There is the spiritual connectivity that occurs when you learn to absorb your wife by your touch (Mk.3:24). Secondly, your touch reassures her of your commitment and loyalty to her. Sometimes, what your wife needs is a hug, reminding her that she is as important today as she was when you newly got married. That kiss on her forehead may just be the sparkle she needs to glow in the day and in her spirit. Your physical touch also re-establishes and reinforces your love for her. Thirdly, it helps you place a high value on her. You must understand that as the good and godly shepherd to your wife, her self-worth and self-esteem is very important. It is the energy that motivates her each day to be her best to herself, to you, your children and the marketplace. If her self-confidence is not enhanced, her attitude would be negatively affected. Your physical and spiritual connection to her empowers her self-confidence. Fourthly, your touch polishes your thought line about her. It helps you to reconnect back to her and makes you have good thoughts toward her (Phil.4:8).

You need to recognize that touching your wife is a righteous thing to do. However, you must contend in prayers against those little foxes of bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, discontentment, familiarity, pride and arrogance that want to corrupt your life and relationship with your wife. Let your life and thought be overrun by the unfailing love of Jesus Christ and make it flow towards your wife by your loving, sincere and caring touch (Rom.12:21)

FAITH CONFESSION

I refuse the tradition of men but engage my hands to do good works to my wife and children as a good and godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
