CREATE ORDER IN YOUR LIFE

Spread the love

Main Scriptures: 1Cor.11:30-34

More Scriptures: 2 Cor.7:1, Col.1:19, Heb.11:3

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home, that ye come not together unto condemnation. AND THE REST WILL I SET IN ORDER when I come (1Cor.11:30-33)

I want you to know that as the good and godly shepherd, God wants to bless you. God wants to make you a successful leader. God wants you to lead your wife and children in the way of the Lord. God wants to prosper your office as the head of the family. But He wants you to do one very important thing. Guess what that is. God wants you to put your life in order.

Recall the testimony of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. There was a contest of whose God was real. Was it the god of Baal or the God of Israel? It was after Prophet Elijah set the altar in order that the fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifice and established that the God of Israel is the true God. As the head of your family, order is a necessary target you must set in your life and in your family government. Where there is no order, there will be chaos. And where there is chaos, there will not be progress. You must appreciate your position in your family-you are their head, the spiritual leader, a kingdom administrator, a governor, king and lord.

What this means is that the success or failure of your family government depends on how much order you have put in your life and in your sheepfold. For instance, it is not orderly when you stir up strife and bitterness in the hearts of your children against their mother or vice versa. It is not orderly when your children live a wayward life. Any driver who drives his car without order and control-having effective brake system and acceleration device- will crash with the passengers on board.

But how do I set my life and that of my sheepfold in order? There are two things that you must do. And it is from 2Cor.7:1. The first is that you must cleanse your thoughts from every form of filthiness and keep your body from engaging in sinful act. Jesus said that we must first remove the speck in our eyes before we start talking about removing the speck in the order person’s eyes. Secondly, you must walk worthy of the Lord unto all you do and say (Col.1:19). You must also engage your wife in healthy discussion in developing the ground rules that will guide your home, using the Bible as the foundation (Jn.5:39). Thirdly, you must engage the weapon of praise, prayer and fasting (Mk.9:29). And finally, you must walk in faith, because without faith it is impossible for you to please God (Heb.11:1-6). Be the set man. Put your life and sheepfold in order.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to set my life in order for Your visitation.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to lead my wife and children according to Your word.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, visit my life, wife and children and my home with Your blessings.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have decided to set my life and sheepfold in order for the blessings of the Lord to be poured on us because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
