PRODUCT BEARS RESULTS

Spread the love

Scripture:  1Tim. 3:1

More scriptures: Acts 20:28, Phil. 1:1, Eph. 4:12

You always know a product by the things it does and the functions it performs as intended by the manufacturer, whether positive or negative. So, in the same manner, every godly husbandman is a product, manufactured by God. According to the word of God, Jesus said, by thy fruits ye shall know them. God made you to become the husbandman to bear good and godly fruits. In Gen.1:26-28, the Bible says let us make man in our own image and likeness… And thereafter God said to this man, be fruitful and multiply (Gen.1:28).

From the above verses of Scripture, you understand that your making as the husbandman is not your village tradition or your church idea. It is God’s plan and He brought you into that office so that you can become His reflection to your wife and children and the world at large. But for your wife and children and others to see who you really are as the good and godly shepherd, you must exhibit certain godly nature first to God, your wife and then your children. You don’t have to tell your wife and children that you are the head of the family. Your character should be loud enough for all of them to see. You don’t have to tell outsiders that you are the head of your family. Your fruits should demonstrate it.

But what is the character or nature of the good and godly husbandman? One of the virtues is that you must be blameless. Others are that you must be the of one wife no concubine, girlfriends or mistress, be vigilant to protect your wife, children and marriage, be hospitable, be of good behavior, be a good teacher, not giving to wine or greed or fighting, must good rule of your own house and children, be a patient husband and sober (1Tim.3:1-5). These are the fruits you bear as the good and godly husbandman.

To become the good and godly husbandman is not fanfare. It is a call to higher responsibilities and diligent work. If you don’t wake up to the demands, you will be living like a sheep instead of a shepherd. Your fruits remain the sum total of who you are as the godly shepherd, and that is what counts.
