REDISCOVERING MY TRUE IDENTITY

And they sang a new song, saying you are worthy to take the scroll and to open the seals; for you were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation and have made us kings and priests to our God and we shall reign on the earth (Rev.5:9-10)

Until you discover who you are in Jesus Christ as the good and godly husbandman, you will not fulfill God’s plan for your life as the head of your family. The starting point to succeeding as the godly man, husband and father is discovering God’s plan for you and this is why the Scripture in Revelation chapter 5 and verses 9 and 10 is important. The word of God says that you have been made a king and a priest. As the good and godly husbandman and the head of the family, who you are matters to God than your silver or gold. God is interested in you. God wants you to live the fullness of all that He deposited in you.

You are the husbandman, created in the image and likeness of God and you have dominion (Gen.1:26-28). You are also very good (Gen.1:28-31). You have the seed of excellence in you- an excellent relationship with Jesus, with your wife and children and people around you. God wants you to give your best to your wife and children and the world. God wants you to lead your wife and children in the way of the Lord. God wants you to prosper. He doesn’t want you to struggle and to be in bondage. God wants you to be like Him in all things to all people. As the head and the spiritual leader in your home, your lifestyle and conduct both within and without must reflect the true nature of Jesus, the perfect example of how every husbandman must behave. Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith…. (Heb.12:2).

I am sure you have discovered your true identity as the good and godly husbandman. And I know that with this new understanding you will think, act and conduct yourself as Jesus Christ would to your wife and children. Knowing who you are as the husbandman empowers you to function as the good and godly man, husband and father to your wife and children and the world around you.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for helping me to rediscover my true identity as the godly husbandman.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to fulfill Your plan for my life as the good and godly man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, help to daily live out my new identity for the good of my wife and children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I walk in the consciousness of my true identity in Jesus Christ because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman to my wife and children and in the market place of life in Jesus name. Amen.
