CONTEND FOR THEIR IMMUNITY

When a child is born, the parents are advised to immunize the child against dangerous childhood diseases. It is called preventive measures. And as wise parents, they ensure that their child is properly immunized.

Now consider this for a moment. I am the gate, whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep (Jn.10:9-11) NIV.

God wants you to immunize your wife and children. God doesn’t want your sheep to be stolen, killed or destroyed by satan, sin and the world because you are the good shepherd. Your wife and children are not your enemies. They are not the mountain. The devil is your only enemy and the greatest one for that. The misbehavior of your wife or children is rooted in the operation of the devil. Satan is the person instigating and influencing them to do the things that you don’t like. It is spiritual corruption. All the troubles you are having with your wife and children are intended by the devil to steal, kill and destroy your glorious family life. You must understand that you are the head of the family and overseer of your wife and children, hence you must continue to resist satan, sin and the world. Satan is afraid that your godly influence would lead your wife and children to heaven and make them positive influences on the earth. So, instead of confronting your wife and children, confront the devil, your enemy.

But how do I contend to immunize my wife and children from satan, sin and the world? Firstly, by the weapons of prayers and fasting (Mk.9:29). This means you engage the weapon of heartfelt intercession. This will deliver your wife and children from ungodly habits and attitudes. Prayer remains your most potent weapon to keep your position as the head of the family intact and the lives of your wife and children in perfect peace. Secondly, the weapon of bold declaration of the counsel of God over their lives (Rom.10:10). Thirdly, by engaging the power in the blood of Jesus Christ (Rev.12:11).

Therefore, start today to immunize your wife and children against the deadly attacks from satan, sin and the world. That is your heritage as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to deal with satan, the enemy of the soul of my wife and children.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, reveal to me the trick of the devil that is responsible for my wife and children’s ungodly attitude.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, hear my prayer and give me victory whenever I pray and declare Your counsel over my wife and children.

I am more than a conqueror in Jesus and I stand upon this truth to immunize my wife and children against the activities of satan, sin and the world because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
