What is the will of God for you as the husbandman? The will of God for you and me as heads of our families is to be godly. This means that God made us to live like Him in all things and for all things. And if you must be useful to your wife, children and the world, you must live a godly life. Godliness is what invites the power, person and presence of God into your home and that is what will dispel every spirit of disobedience from having a field day in the lives of your wife and children. It is through a godly life that you can gain access into the wisdom of God that will make you reign in your family kingdom.

In our scripture reading today, God made the first husbandman, Adam, in His image and likeness so that he can behave like God. Unfortunately he disobeyed God and lost his family and glory as the husbandman. Remember that the first husband was godly as long as he obeyed the instructions of God. God created him and gave a clear instruction as to what to do and what not to do. The husband was a free moral agent.

You have the gene of godliness in you. All you need to do is to activate the gene for effective performance as the good and godly husbandman.So the first foundation that you must build towards becoming a Godly husbandman is the foundation of new birth, which is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour. A relationship with Jesus Christ is the surest foundation that sets you on the path of glory, honour and dignity. No other relationship outside Jesus can set you on high. As long as the first husband maintained a relationship with God, he did not lose his glory. But as soon as he severed the relationship, he lost everything. Nothing will keep your family heritage intact like having and maintaining a truthful and sincere relation with the Groom, Jesus.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, destroy every wrong foundation that I have laid by error that is affecting my life negatively.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, bring to naught every satanic root that is making me not to live a godly life as a husband to my wife, children and relations.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with the Spirit of holiness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am the righteousness God in Christ Jesus, I will live a holy life because I am longing to be  a good and godly husbandman to my wife and children in Jesus name. Amen.
