APPOINTED TO BUILD

This is what the king of Cyrus of Persia says, the Lord, the God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Any of you who are his people may go to Jerusalem in Judah to rebuild this temple of the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives in Jerusalem. And may your God be with you (Ezra 1:2-3)

As the head of the family, did you know that God has given you the mandate to build up your wife, children and sheepfold and not tear it down? You are an appointee of God and your assignment is to repair what has been damaged in the lives of your wife and children, and restore what may have been lost. It may be their spiritual life, health, attitude, marriage, finances, relationships and much more I am come that ye may have life and have it more abundantly (Jn.10:10b). Now, Jesus Christ who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman rebuilt the lives of everyone He came in contact with. He met Peter, a mere fisherman and rebuilt his life and made him one of the foremost apostles of our time. He came into the life of the woman with the issue of blood and rebuilt and restored her health and life. You have the nature of Jesus Christ in you because as He is so are you in the world. In Eph.5:25, the word of God says, husband love your wife as Christ loves the Church. Note the word as. Jesus was a builder and restorer to His bride (the twelve disciples). That is your nature. That is who you are.

However, for you to be able to build your wife and children, you must have faith in the finished work of Calvary and be courageous. Courage is the weapon you need to rebuild those challenging areas of your wife and children. This is because sometimes the destruction or damage in the lives of your sheep could be so overwhelming that you may want to give up on them. But with the spirit of courage at work in you, you will confront the challenges head long. Be strong and of good courage, for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them (Jos.1:6).

But you need to activate this spirit of courage by the word of God and on the altar of prayer. You are the restorer and repairer of your wife and children, work to make it happen.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to build the waste places of my wife and children.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with the spirit of courage to deal with every area of challenge in my family fold.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me an instrument of recovery in my family fold.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am sent to build, rebuild, restore and recover the glory and beauty of my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING DAY 1 OF 70 (70 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYERS)

1. Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for preserving my life and that of my family members from the assault of the wicked in 2021  (Ezk.9:6)
2. Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for the peace we have enjoyed in this nation, Nigeria, and for not allowing the wickedness of men to prevail over her (Job 5:12)
3. Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for Your mercy that has kept our nation, Nigeria together in peace and tranquillity this year 2021 (Ps.127:1)
