The main scripture today is rather long but I am prompted by the Holy Spirit to write it all out. This is to help you understand that as the representative of Jesus Christ in your family fold, God wants you to be everything to your wife and children. It is when you take your rightful position in your family fold that you can be crowned with glory and honour by God and your wife and children, and others around you. When you are everything to your wife and children, you are able to connect to their hearts, redirect, mend and enforce positive tendencies and delete negative traits. Remember that the Bible is given to us to guide, direct and influence our lives unto righteousness and godly living. You are the leader in your home. It is wisdom to follow the precepts of the word of God and you are sure to arrive at the level of honor, glory and power.
When I am with the Gentiles who do not follow the Jewish law, I too live apart from that law so I can bring them to Christ. But I do not ignore the law of God; I obey the law of Christ.
When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some.
I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.
Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win (1Cor.9:21-24)
As the head of the family, it is important for you to have a winning mentality as you lead your sheep. You must be conscious that the office of the husbandman is a race. So, God wants you to run to win and not lose. If you notice that you are losing your place in any area of your influence in the lives of your wife and children, fight to regain it. One of the areas you must demonstrate the very nature of Christ in your family fold is in their weaknesses because that is what satan will want you to focus your attention on. Don’t allow their weakness to blind you from seeing their strength. Become everything to your wife and children, and they will return with every Christ-like nature to you.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to become a pillar of strength to my wife and children, when they are weak.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to do to my wife and children what is acceptable in Your sight.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be like You in truth and in deeds to my wife and children.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am like Jesus to my wife and children because that is the life God has ordained for me as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING DAY 9 OF 70 (70 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYERS)
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for making me to walk in Your ways all through the year 2021 (Is.35:8)
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for giving our wives conception and making them pregnant (Ps.128:3)
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for working through the hands of doctors as they deliver our wives of their babies in 2021 (1Sam.1:27).
