You also enjoy health and vitality. A lot of husbandmen are not only frustrated but are depressed at the way things are going between them and their sheep. And this impacts negatively on the health of the husbandman leading him to develop high blood pressure, slipping into unhealthy lifestyles like drinking, smoking, adultery and other ungodly vices. God wants you to live in health and vitality. I wish above all things that ye prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers (3Jn.:2). God doesn’t like it when you are sick. God doesn’t like it when your body is ravaged with diseases. So, you must exercise authourity over those issues between you and your wife and children that will make you to be depressed. That is the way to have joy on your inside that gives you health and vitality on the outside.
You also enjoy honour and dignity. As the head of your wife and children, you must understand that honour and dignity are earned and not conferred. Your wife and children will not honour you because you are their head rather they will honour you because of what they have seen you do that has changed their lives positively. Peter honoured Jesus Christ because He turned him from a fisherman to a great Apostle. The woman with the issue of blood honoured Jesus Christ because He healed her. The man that was lame at the Beautiful gate in Acts chapter 3 honoured Apostle Peter because God through his hands healed him.
Every time you exercise your authourity over the works of the enemy coming against your wife and children, they will not only honour you, they will also dignify your person. If your wife or child is sick and you command the sickness to leave them, you become a reference point in their lives. If you stand against the wiles of the devil trying to intrude your sheep and sheepfold, your wife and children will see you as the bulwark of their lives. You must not leave your sheep to the tricks, manipulation and influence of satan, sin and the world. God gave them to you so that you can tend and keep (Gen.2:14-15). God wants you to be the agent of His abundant life to your wife and children (Jn.10:10).
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to dominate all forms of oppression in and around my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower to secure my sheepfold from all harassment of the enemy.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me a more than a conqueror shepherd.
FAITH CONFESSION
I exercise the authority of Jesus Christ over the works of satan, sin and the world, and secure my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
