Bible Texts: Gen. 12:13-15, Gen.26:7, Gen.26:1, Gal. 3:10-13, Ezk.28:13, Rom.12:1-2
Yesterday, the Holy Spirit opened the eyes of husbands to recognize evil family patterns working against the glorious purpose of God for the family. Today, let’s see how we as husbands can break away from these evil patterns.
In our main text today, the Scriptures say Christ has REDEEMED us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal.3:13-14. Jesus Christ has paid the price for you with his death on the cross of Calvary. So you don’t have to suffer what your father suffered. His precious blood provides a better covenant foundation for you so that you can bring upon your wife and children the blessings of Abraham.
In Rom.5:7-9, the Bible says that much more then, being justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him (verse 9). There is no condemnation for you again. You can live a life of holiness and purity. You can remain with your wife as one flesh. You can overcome all the evil patterns traceable to your family. All you need is to be conscious of the prevailing power in the blood of Jesus Christ.
However, the potency of the blood of Jesus Christ will lose its power in your life if you don’t have a personal relationship with Him. That is accepting Him as your Lord and personal savior. This means giving your life to Christ and remaining in Him. The Scriptures say now there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Your relationship with Jesus Christ is what sets you apart and makes you to sit in the heavenly places, where evil does not prevail. So if you are not born again, please see the back page to accept Him and thereafter join a Bible believing church for your spiritual growth and development.
Another thing that you must do is to talk freedom, think freedom and act like a free husband. Always renew your mind of your liberty from every generation curse. So also, keep pleading the blood of Jesus over your life, wife, children and every area of concern. And finally, live a life of purity, holiness and righteousness.
It took one man to bring curse on a family. It will not require more than one man to bring a blessing to his family. And that person is YOU. Start laying the right foundation today with Jesus Christ as your JOINT-HEIR.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, help me to live a life well pleasing to You in all my ways and thoughts.
- Father, by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, destroy all forms of satanic condemnation against my family.
- Father, show me mercy and by Your mercy deliver my family and generation from faulty foundations.
FAITH CONFESSION
I am a new man in Christ Jesus, my family and I are baptized into the blessings of His blood because I am godly husband in Jesus name. Amen.
