RESET YOUR HEART TO RECEIVE FROM GOD

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Deut.7:17, Heb.11:6, Rom.12:2-3, 2Cor.5:17, Matt.7:7, Ps.23:1, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.1:1-2, Heb.11:1

As the good and godly husbandman, the most important area of your life you must constantly work on is your heart. This is because your heart is what gives life to your body and action and determines what you receive from the Lord. That is why, today, I want to encourage you to reset your heart if you want to experience the power and person of Jesus Christ in your journey, leading your wife and children as the good and godly shepherd.

If thou shalt say in thine heart, these nations are more than I, how can I dispossess them? (Deut.7:17)

From the above Bible passage, you will realize that God is willing to help you but do you agree He can? God will assist you only to the extent that you admit that you need Him and believe that He can help you. This is why the word of God tells us that, if any man must come to God, he must believe that God is able to reward faith (Heb.11:6).

As the head of the family, there is no challenge that you have in your life and with your wife and children that you cannot overcome. There is nothing that the devil throws at you with the intention to defile you that you cannot triumph over (2Cor.7:1, Rev.12:10). God has the power to help you overcome uncontrolled anger, bitterness, barrenness, unforgiveness, bad will and malicious gossips that you have against your wife or children or any other person. All you have to do is to ask the Lord to help you and believe in your heart that He can help you. Do not let satan, sin and the world sell you a dummy that you cannot be free from those dirty habits. You can be free!

However, there is a place where you must reset, first and very importantly, in your life. It is not your eyes. It is not your ears. It is also not your body. It is your heart. Your heart remains the seat of your decision. It is where faith in God is born. For with the heart man believeth and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Rom.10:10). So, what must you do to make your spirit man trust the ability of God to transform your life, wife and children?

The first step is to increase your knowledge of God and His acts. This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth but thou shall meditate upon it day and night…(Jos.1:6-8) The more you study the word of God by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, the more you know who God is and what He has done for you and others, and the stronger your faith in His ability to help you. The second step is for you to guard your heart with all your strength by controlling what you read, hear, the places you go and the relationships you keep (Ps.1:1-4). Study materials that will build your faith rather starve it. Associate with people that will stir up your faith. Listen to messages that will inspire your faith in God.

God is ready to help you, even today. Are you ready to trust Him?
