LET THINE EYES OBSERVE THE WAYS OF JESUS CHRIST

My son, give me thine heart and LET THINE EYES OBSERVE MY WAYS (Pr.23:26)

The Bible passage in Proverbs chapter 23 and verse 26 points out something significant for you and me if we must make the most of our leadership as good and godly husbandmen. The Scripture says, “let thine eyes observe my ways”. Notice these words. God says, my ways. And Jesus speaking said, I am the way……(Jn.14:6). There is no other way outside the examples Jesus has given to you from His word that will lead you to a glorious destiny as the godly husbandman. The more you learn of Jesus’s ways and follow Him, the better your life as the godly man, husband and father. The more you study the word of God with the intention to know Jesus Christ, the better you are able to relate with your wife and children, like Jesus would. In Hebrews chapter 12 and verse 2, the word of God says, looking unto Jesus Christ the Authour and Finisher of thy faith (Heb.12:2). The road map that will give you direction on how to respond, relate and work for the interest of your wife and children are in the word of God, the Bible.

However, there are three actions you must take if you want your eyes to observe and follow Jesus’s ways. The first is that you must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by confessing your sins and asking Him to forgive you. Thereafter, you invite Him into your life as your Lord and personal saviour (Jn.3:3-5, Acts 10:32-26).

The second is that you must delight to want to know Jesus and who He is by studying the Bible (Jn.5:39). This is because Jesus Christ is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, so it is wisdom to find out His ways. The third is that you must engage the forces of prayers and fasting in order for you to understand Jesus’s ways and be able to function like Him as you lead yourself, your wife and children (Mk.9:29).

As the head of your family and the spiritual leader in your home and the shepherd that God has ordained to lead your wife and children, God wants you to observe the ways of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. God wants you to focus your attention in the word of God because it shows you how Jesus Christ conducted Himself, how He related with His disciples and how He responded to challenges.

As the good and godly husbandman, you can only be like Jesus Christ to your wife and children if you observe His ways and do what He did. Be like Jesus!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, awaken my consciousness to observe Your ways from Your word.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from distractions and help me focus on Your word.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to observe Your ways and be like You to my wife and children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I observe the ways of Jesus Christ from His word and do as He will do to my wife and children because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
