HOW YOU CAN DELIVER ON YOUR AUTHOURITY (1)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Ps.89:5-7, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Rom.12:1-3, Lk.10:19, Rom.12:21, Matt.18:19, Jn.3:3-7, Jn.1:12-15

A lot of the times as the good and godly husbandmen and the person that God has bestowed the privilege to lead God’s treasure-your wife and children, many of us struggle to exert the power of God resident in us. Many of us are finding it very hard to lead our wife and children. Many more are confused about what to do to make their presence of immense value to their wife and children. It is this lack of authourity and direction that have made many husbandmen to fail in their responsibilities to be the good and godly men, husbands and fathers. The word of God has this to say in this regard.

THEY KNOW NOT, NEITHER WILL THEY UNDERSTAND, THEY WALK ON IN DARKNESS, all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, ye are gods and all of you are children of the most high. But ye shall die like men and fall like one of the princes. (Ps.89:5-7).

So, by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, I will be sharing with you some vital keys that will help you make full proof of your headship and good and godly authourity over your wife and children in the way that pleases Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

Now, what are these keys?

The first key is the key of desiring continually the presence of God (Ps.24:1-2). As the head of the family, your greatest asset is not your cars. It is not even your job. It is also not the money you have in the bank account. It is not your education or political power. Your greatest asset is the presence of God. In the beginning when God made the first husbandman, Adam, He always came down to fellowship with him in the cool of the day. Adam enjoyed the presence of God so much that he had the capacity to dominate the animals both domestic and wild, named all the plants and animals without any formal education. Even when Jesus Christ who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman was with the disciples, one of the assurances He gave them was His presence. Jesus Christ said, “I am with you always”. That is what you need-the presence of God today and all the days of your life.

But what will the presence of God do for me and how does it enhance my authority in the lives of my wife and children and sheepfold? The first thing the presence of God does for you is that it gives access to know the mind of God for your wife and children. In God’s presence and having fellowship with Him gives direction and authourity on the ways to handle issues that may arise between you and your wife and children and in your sheepfold. According to the word of God in John chapter 14 and verse 26, He teaches you all things (Jn.14:26). The second blessing is that you enjoy supernatural faith to deal with every satanic force that may want to disrupt the plan of God for your life as the godly man, husband and father (Lk.10:19, Heb.11:6).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, I desire Your presence more than anything else.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me conscious of Your divine presence everywhere I go.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the power of sin and darkness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I seek the presence of and fellowship with God always because that is what I need to function and exercise my authority as the good and godly husbandman to my wife, children and in the market place of life.
