YOU NEED POWER TO COUNT (2)

Yesterday, by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, we discovered that without the empowerment from God, you and I cannot function to our best as godly men, husbands and fathers. I pray for the release of the power of the Most High to rest upon you to the end that you become the good and godly husbandman.

Today, I want us to answer the question, why am I so empowered? The question why you are so empowered by God to lead your life, wife and children and your ability to answer it will go a long way in helping you to maximize your headship. As the husbandman who aspire to be the best of God to his wife and children, you must be able to answer the questions that concern your existence as a man, husband and father. And this is your path of recovery and restoration as a good and godly husbandman.

Now the reason why God made you the husbandman is reflected in Gen.1:26-29.

So, God created man in his own image and in the image of God created him….. and God blessed them and God said unto them be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over……(Gen.1:26-28).

As the head of your family and the spiritual authority in your family fold, God wants you to have dominion over every negative influence, temptation or landmine that satan may want to or have set for you, your wife and children. God did not make you the head to be defeated. He did not send you to lead your wife and children to be defeated by adultery, unforgiveness, adultery, bitterness, lovelessness, poverty, lack and want and sickness. From the day God made you the husbandman He transferred the DNA of a victor to you (Gen.1:26-29, Lk.10:19). So, if you have lost the fight to win over the love of your wife or children or you are no longer the man of authority, then you must know that that is not the plan of God for you (Jn.10:10, Mic.3:8).

But how do I fulfill the call of God upon my life as the good and godly husbandman full of power and dominion? The first step is for you to make it right with Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ has conquered the grave and satan. He is the vine and you are the branches (Jn.15:1-5). It is your connection to Him that gives you access to the flow of His power (Jn.3:3, 2Cor.5:17). The second step is for you to walk in the consciousness that you have been made a victor and not a victim. Jesus speaking said, and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (Jn.8:32). When you know that neither you nor your wife and children can be molested by satan, sin and the world, you will challenge and resist every contrary force.

As the good and godly husbandman, you are an ambassador of Jesus Christ in your home and on the earth (Matt.5:14-16). Every authority that He has as the Bridegroom has been transferred to you (Lk.10:19). You must exercise that authority and behave like Him and keep your life, wife, children and family-fold safe and secured.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask that You forgive me of my sins.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk in the consciousness of Your power in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower to live a victorious life over satan’s traps.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am made in the image and likeness of God and I overcome every device of the devil because that is the proof that I am the good and godly husbandman, full of power and authority in Jesus name. Amen.
