The perfect will of God for you as the husbandman is to be like His Son, Jesus Christ. God wants you to reflect Jesus’ nature, conduct and character on earth. God wants your wife, children and the world to see Jesus Christ through your life. You can be as Jesus Christ was while He journeyed on earth. You can grow in stature after the likeness of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman. And this, He confirmed in Luke chapter 6.
The disciple is not above his master but EVERYONE THAT IS PERFECT SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER (Lk.6:40)
As the husbandman, Jesus Christ is your master. The Bible describes Him as the husbandman, who demonstrated how the man, husband and father should conduct his life. In Ephesians chapter 5 and verse 25, the Scripture helps you to understand Jesus Christ as your master. Husbands love thy wife AS CHRIST HAS LOVED THE CHURCH (Eph.5:25). If there is anyone whom you must emulate in your leadership role as good and godly husbandman is Jesus Christ.
But for you to be as Jesus Christ your Master, you must first and very importantly have a personal relationship with Him. If any man be in Christ………(2Cor.5:17). You must love Jesus Christ with the whole of your heart, might, soul, body and spirit. Secondly, you must be willing and committed to do all that God commands you to do as the man, husband and father, even if they appear not convenient for you. The Bible says that faith without works is vain. You must press hard to do the perfect will of God for your life as the husbandman so that you can be as Him. Thirdly, you must engage in word study, prayers and fasting. This is because without him you cannot do anything (Jn.15:5) and it is Jesus Christ who gives you the power both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Philp.2:13).
You are the image of Jesus Christ in your home and in the lives of your wife and children. Walk before God in truth and righteousness and be perfect like Jesus Christ (Gen.17:1).
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill my heart with your life and let it gain root downward.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of truth, righteousness and help me to obey all Your instructions.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, make my life a living sacrifice and empower me to be as You.
FAITH CONFESSION
I have the life of Christ and His Spirit in me and I am doing all things right to be as Jesus Christ because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen,
