JUMPING OVER THE LANDMINES (5)

In the last few days, the Person of the Holy Spirit has opened the eyes of every husbandman to see the deception of satan, who goes about lurking in the corner, looking for who he will destroy. You will not be victim of his onslaught in Jesus name. Amen.

But how do I jump over the landmines set by satan, sin and the world as the husbandman?

The first step is the step of salvation. Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman says these words. Ye must be born again. You must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that begins with you accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour.Why is your relationship with Jesus Christ a must and very important? The answer is found in Colossians chapter 2 and verses 9 through to 10.

For in him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him (Jesus Christ), which is the head of all principality and power (Col.2:9-10).

The fullness of God and every power you need to overcome the landmines of satan, sin and the world is in Jesus Christ. He is the only Person that can give you the power to will and to do of His good pleasure (Acts 1:1, Philp.2:13).

The second step is for you to contend for your righteous heritage in faith. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold onto eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses (1Tim.6:12). The faith walk is not cheap walk. It requires more than just a confession. It is a profession that requires your personal commitment and responsibility through consistent and diligent study of the word of God, meditation and effectual fervent prayer coupled with fasting (Mk.9:29, Jos.1:6-8).

Yes, you are born again but you have to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. In Luke chapter 16 and verse 16, the word of God says, the kingdom of God is available and every man presseth into it (Lk.16:16). You must press into the fullness of your call as the husbandman. The kingdom God has committed into your hands, that is your wife, children and home is not in meat or drink. It is in power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit.

The third step is the step of choosing your friends and relationships. Bad company corrupt good manners (1Cor.15:33).  Who are those in your circle of friends? Can God be proud of them? Do their lives bring glory to God? Do their conduct at home and their relationship with their wife and children worthy of emulation? As the husbandman, you must appreciate the importance of relationships. Who you have as friends and the relationships you keep will either bring your closer to doing the will of God or take you farther from doing the will of God.

Finally, you must be vigilant and watchful in your spirit. Woe unto them that are at ease in zion…(Am.6:1). You must not become complacent but reject what is wrong, instantly.

God has ordained you to be the good and godly husbandman. You must fight to make it count positively in the lives of your wife, children and in the marketplace.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, pour upon me the spirit of grace and supplication for an effectual prayer life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from ungodly and unreasonable relationships.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make me vigilant and watchful over the thoughts of my heart.

FAITH CONFESSION

I set watch over my life as the godly husbandman by the Spirit of God and I overcome every landmine set on my path in Jesus name. Amen.

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, contend with every opposition against the growth of my business in 2023
