GOD’S PRIORITY FOR YOU

What is God’s priority for the good and godly husbandman? What does God expect the husbandman to do as the man, husband and father? This is because if you and I can answer these questions by the word of God, then we will indeed become the good and godly husbandmen.

This is why I want you to read the excerpt of the teaching by Dr. Myles Munroe, one of my mentors. This teaching is timeless and provides the answers to the questions being asked today.

“The word “Eden” is a Hebrew word for “Where God dwells”. So the first thing that God gave man was His presence. So the first thing that a man needs is NOT a woman; it is the presence of God and the woman should meet him in the presence of God. Eve met Adam in Eden. The next thing God gave man after putting him in the Garden was WORK. God gave man work before giving him a woman. That means a man needs a job before he gets a woman. God’s priorities are very clear. The third thing that God told man was “cultivate”. Cultivate means, to bring out the best in everything around you, to maximize the potentials of everything and everyone around you, to make everything fruitful.

He only said that to the MAN. That’s why God will never give a man a finished woman. The man was created by God to create whatever he wants. The woman you are looking for doesn’t exist; she is in your head. Your job is to take the raw material you married and cultivate her into the woman in your head. So, you have been married for 20 years and you still don’t like the product you get, it is your fault. If your wife is putting on a little weight and you don’t like that, don’t criticize her; it’s your job to wake her at 6:00 am, “hey baby, let’s go jogging”, if you don’t like her dress, take her to a boutique and buy her clothes you like. If she cannot speak good English, send her to school and pay her tuition fees. CULTIVATE HER.

The fourth thing that God said to the man was “Guard the Garden”. The man has to be the protector of everything under his care. That’s why God gave the man a stronger bone frame; a bigger muscle mass, not to abuse the woman but to protect her. The last thing that God gave man was His WORD. God told the man not to touch the tree; God never told the woman. Never……. This means it was the man who received the word of God and his job was to teach his wife the word of God. Nothing frustrates a woman like when she asks her man, “so what do you think” and the dummy answers, “Whatever you think is okay or keeps quiet, giving silence”. Don’t do that Bro, don’t do that. She is looking for knowledge and direction. That was the last command God gave to man.

So, if you meet a man who doesn’t like God’s presence, is not working, cannot cultivate you, cannot protect you and cannot teach, then it is good for the man to be alone.

In summary, God’s priorities are these.

God wants you to have fellowship with Him; He wants you to work with your hands and mind; He wants you to cultivate, nurture and teach your wife and children; God wants you to provide for and protect them. That is your whole duty as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to function as the man.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to function as the husband.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, teach me how to function as the father.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am made in the image and likeness of God and I take responsibility to function as the man, husband and father because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.
