Bible Texts: Philp.3:9-12, Pro.4:8, Gal.4:19, Ps.1:1-3, 2Cor.5:17, Mk.9:29, Matt.7:7, Jer.33:3, Gen.12:1-2, Matt.5:14-16, Gen.1:26-28, 2Cor.5:20, Gen.18:19, Job 1:8
Praise God, for bringing you and I to the end of the month of July 2023. For all that God has for us, with us and through us, we return to give Him all the glory and honour. Hallelujah!
While I was in the mode of meditation I heard the Holy Spirit’s whispers to me saying, tell the husbandman to make new and greater commitments to know God through Jesus Christ. And this Scripture was laid to me.
And he found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death. If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect, but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus (Philp.3:9-12)
You must understand that the perfect will of God is for you to grow in His word so that you can perform your covenant responsibilities as the good and godly man, husband and father, bringing glory to His name through Jesus Christ. As the husbandman, there is always and will be opportunities for you to improve in your relationships with God, your wife and children.
For the path of the just man is like a shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day (Pro.4:18)
You must seek know more from the word of God so that your thoughts, decisions and conduct will be influenced by what God says and not what the world says (Ps.1:1-3). You must strengthen your bond of fellowship with Jesus Christ by walking in righteousness in all that you do (2Cor.5:17). You must renew your prayer altar and keep engaging with God through Jesus Christ through prayers (Mk.9:29, Matt.7:7, Jer.33:3). You must be a blessing to your wife, children and in the market place (Gen.12:1-2, Matt.5:14-16).
God has made you in His image and likeness (Gen.1:26-28). He wants you to represent His Son, Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, in your home and in the market place (2Cor.5:20). God wants to be proud of you (Gen.18:19, Job 1:8). You must make a new and greater commitment to become the good and godly husbandman (Dan.1:8).
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, thank You for helping me to be the man, husband and father to my wife and children.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, baptize me with fresh zeal to give myself to the demands of the good and godly husbandman.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to make a greater commitment to be like Jesus Christ in all that I think, do and say.
FAITH CONFESSION
I make a new and greater commitment to seek to know more and more and more about God’s commandments for me as the man, husband and father and I give myself to doing all that the word commands me to do, joyfully and with gladness of heart because that is what builds me up as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
