STAND FIRM, STAND FAST

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Gal.5:1, Jn.10:10, Jn.8:32, Rom.6:18, 1Pet.2:16, Acts 15:10, Eph.5:25, Rom.5:5, Eph.6:4, Col.3:16

As we are approaching the end of the 3rd quarter of 2023 and preparing to enter the last quarter of the year, many husbandmen have become agitated of what the reminder of the months of the year holds for them. Many are confused and many more are afraid they may not achieve their goals as the good and godly man, husband and father.

May be you are in this situation, the Lord is saying to you stand firm and stand fast because you will end well as the good and godly husbandman.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Gal.5:1).

The Scripture in Galatians chapter 5 says that Christ has made you free and has broken the yoke of bondage in your life.

But what are the things Christ has freed you from so that you can access your glorious inheritance as the good and godly husbandman?

Jesus Christ has freed you from guilt. Don’t be bound to guilt anymore. Repent of your actions and walk in liberty because of the abundance of God’s mercy and grace.

Jesus Christ has also freed you from hate, bitterness, envy, unforgiveness, unfaithfulness and fear. As the good and godly husbandman, you don’t have to despise your wife and children. You don’t have to hate them and be bitter towards them. You don’t have to remain unfaithful and walk in unforgiveness to your wife and children. You can love your wife as Christ has loved the Church (Eph.5:25). You can nurture your children in the way and admonition of the Lord (Eph.6:4). You can forgive and forget the mistakes, weakness of your wife and children through the love of Christ (Rom.5:5).

For you to stand firm and fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has freed you, you must have a personal relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ by repenting of your sins and accepting Him as your Lord and personal savior (2Cor.5:17, Jn.3:3-7). Secondly, you must study the Word of God and allow the words of Scripture to dominate your thoughts (Col.3:16). Finally, you must engage the power of bold declaration of your freedom (Rom.10:10)

As the husbandman, God wants you to be good and godly. God wants you to have a quality and healthy relationships with Him, your wife and children. Therefore, stand fast and firm in the perfect will of God for you.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from guilt and satanic bondage.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, guide me through Your Word and let it dominate my thoughts.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to walk in Your love towards my own life, wife and children.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am no longer a slave to satan, sin and the world. I am made free by the blood of Jesus and manifest the love of Christ towards me, my wife and children as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
