YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER STILL WANTS YOU FRUITFUL

After all said and done, your heavenly Father still wants you to prosper and be fruitful as the man, husband and father. That is the word for a husbandman who is reading today’s devotional and has concluded that there is no hope for him anymore.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness (Col.1:9-11)

God wants you to be fruitful in every good works. God wants you to increase in the knowledge of Him. God wants you to be filled with wisdom and spiritual understanding. God wants you to walk worthily of your ministry, pleasing Him in all things.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you an expected end (Jer.29:11)

God is always thinking about how you can become all that He has created you to be as the husbandman. As the husbandman, your Father’s thought for you is to be productive as the man, husband and father because when you are fruitful you enjoy peace, joy and fulfillment.

There are three important steps you must take if you want to be fruitful.

The first is that you must have and maintain relationship and fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. As the husbandman, you must do only those things that pleases the Lord by obeying all that God commands you to do as the good and godly man, husband and father.

The second is to give attention to the study and meditation of the word of God. The more you study the word of God and think about what He says about your role as the good and godly husbandman, the more you are empowered by the Spirit of God to please Him.

The third step is for you to engage the weapon of prayer and fasting for empowerment so that you can do only what God wants you to do. Very often, your spirit is willing to do what is right from the word of God but the flesh is weak. But when you fast and pray fervently, you develop spiritual capacity to overcome the power of the flesh and do only those things that please God.

You have a great destiny with God, regardless of where you are today and how much you might have failed. God has not given up on you. He still wants you to be productive and prosperous. You must cooperate with God through Jesus Christ to make this happen.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, restore unto me the joy of my salvation and renew a right spirit within me.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to take delight in doing all that You command.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be fruitful and prosperous in all my ways.

FAITH CONFESSION

I return to my heavenly Father and I am now doing those things He commands me to do as the man, husband and father because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
