Now, what is God saying to you today?
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God. And he said unto his disciples, therefore, I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat and the body is more than raiment (Lk.12:21-23)
As the husbandman, your relationship with God is more than your material needs. It is more than what you will eat, drink or wear. God wants you to approach Him as your Father. He wants you to know that He is more than a prayer answering God. God wants you to be rich towards Him, and this you attain by having a greater bond of fellowship with Him (2Cor.5:17).
If you have this understanding as you lead your life as the husbandman, you will strive to become an ever growing, ever learning and ever shinning man, husband and father (Pro.4:8).
But how do I become rich toward God as the husbandman?
Your relationship with your Father becomes rich and fruitful when you seek to know Him more.
That I may know Him……….(Philp.3:10)
You must be an ever learning husbandman by continually searching the Scriptures to know the perfect will of God for you as the man, husband and father. Until you study the Bible by the help of the Person of the Holy Spirit, you will not know what is expected of you as the husbandman. Hence, the more you study the Bible the more the word of God becomes real to you. Therefore, search the Scriptures for in it you will find the roadmap to a life of the good and godly husbandman (Jn.5:39).
Also, you must always learn to subject your will, emotion and plans to God’s.
I decrease that he may increase (Jn.3:30)
The more you give God first place in your life and in all your endeavours, the more His Personality increases in your conduct, attitude and character. God wants you to be like His Son, Jesus Christ, in all things. If you allow God through Jesus Christ to have the lead in your life, He helps you to manifest His nature for all to see (Matt.5:14-16).
God wants a relationship beyond your time on earth. He wants it to continue in heaven. You must make it count here on earth and in heaven because that is the perfect will of God for you as the good and godly husbandman.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, have mercy upon me for not having a quality relationship with You.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me to see you as my Father, who loves me with an everlasting love.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to make a greater commitment to know You more.
FAITH CONFESSION
I make a new and greater commitment to seek to know more and more and more about God’s commandments for me as the man, husband and father and I give myself to fellowshipping with Him more than ever because that is what builds me up as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
