COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM

Bible Texts: 2Cor.6:17-18, Ps.1:1, 1Jn.5:17, 1Cor.15:33-34, 1Cor.14:40, Rom.6:1, 1Cor.14:20, 1Cor.14:25. 1Cor.16:9, 1Cor.16:13

Today’s teaching was done in May 2023 and by the leading of the Person of the Holy Spirit, it is worth repeating to edify, exhort and admonish the husbandman to redefine his relationships and the companions he keeps and associates with. This is because, the association we keep either influences us for good or for evil (1Cor.15:33).

I pray, in the name of Jesus, that you will yield to the call of God for you by disassociating from ungodly company and relationships and joining yourself with men who will inspire and motivate you to be good and godly. Amen.

Let us hear the word of the Lord for the moment.

Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean things and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughters saith the Lord Almighty (2Cor.6:17-18)

But what must I come out from and why?

God wants you to come out from wrong relationships, associations and activities because it will always lead you to do those things that displease God, your heavenly Father. It will also defeat the purpose why God calls you the ambassador of Christ (2Cor.5:20).

And as you disconnect with ungodly relationships and associations, your Father in heaven wants you to walk, stand and sit with godly relationships.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful (Ps.1:1)

Do not be deceived that it matters less to God whatever and however you live your life. As the husbandman, God demands accountability from you, hence, any of your action that is contrary to the instructions of Scriptures is sin.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death (1Jn.5:17)

Uncontrolled appetite that leads to greed and covetousness, lying, abuse of your body and the bodies of others, stealing, disobeying the laws of the land where you live, adultery, bitterness, unforgivenss, hate, malice, laziness, bad will towards others, and serving other gods are all unrighteousness. And the word God calls it sin.

Therefore,

Awake to righteousness and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame (1Cor.15:34)

Make a firm decision today to stop those ungodly habits. Make a commitment today to disassociate yourself from bad relationships and associations that take you away from God and His words.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for disobeying Your instructions and keeping ungodly associations and relationships.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me boldness and courage to disassociate myself from all forms of ungodliness and ungodly relationships.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to exercise power and authority over the influences of satan, sin and the world and make me walk in righteousness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have power with God through Jesus Christ, and by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I deliver myself from all ungodly associations, relationships and friendships and join myself to godly people and company because I am committed to living as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
