YOU ARE THE CHANGE DRIVER

Spread the love

Bible Texts: Gal.3:13, Gen.12:1-3, Gen.3:3-10, Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Jn.5:30, Philp.2:13, Gal.4:19, Rom.10:10, Jn.3:3-7, Lk.10:19, Lk.10:19, Deut.28:1

Praise God! Today is day 13 of the 70 days of fasting with prayers. May our strength not diminish in Jesus name, amen.

Today, by the leading of the Person of the Holy Spirit, we shall be looking at the incredible power inherent in the husbandman. And two Scriptures shall be our focus. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will rise up and take personal responsibility for the new beginning of power, love, success, progress, peace, soundness of spirit, body and mind in your life and the lives of your wife and children. Amen.

For the sin of this one man, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man (Rom.5:12) NLT

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree; that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Gal.3:13-14)

It took one man, Adam, to bring sin to the world that leads to death. It also took one Man, Jesus Christ, to bring salvation and the blessings of Abraham to mankind. It took Abraham to bring the promise of God to Israel. It took one man, Jacob, to establish a new covenant for Israel. That is the incredible power of one man as a change driver.

In the year 2000 while I was studying my Bible, the Person of the Holy Spirit said these words to me, “It took one man to bring sin to this world and it took one man to bring salvation; it will not take more than one person to bring the needed change”. This revelation sparked an internal revival in me that God can work through me to re-write the story of my family heritage and bring the change I desperately desired. From that day, I have offered myself to God as a vessel to be the change agent of a new and glorious beginining and bring the promises of God to my family lineage.

Now, as the husbandman, it matters less what your forebears, father or family lineage have suffered or plagued with over many generations. It may be untimely death, lack of success, lack of education, joblessness, barrenness, poverty, no tangible or slow in accomplishing set goals, or any such curse. You can be the change agent. You can be channel of a new beginning of glory and honour. You can be the change and lead the change for others. This is how powerful God has made you (Lk.10:19). You don’t have to suffer what your forefathers or parents suffer. You cannot repeat the same failures of your parents. You can reset the path and start a new lease of life and future for your family.

But for you to be the agent of positive change, you must be born again (Jn.3:4-7). This requires you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ by confessing your sins, repenting of them and accepting the Lordship of Jesus. Secondly, you must give attention to the study of the Bible to find the promises of God for you, your wife and children (Jn.5:39). Thereafter, you must pray and continue to pray the promises into reality, backed by fasting (Lk.18:1, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Mk.9:29). Then, you must walk by faith by confessing and declaring the promises of God and stamping your authority as the agent of good and godly change (Rom.10:10, Rev.5:10-12)). You must also camp with the right company and associations (Ps.1:1-2, 1Cor.15:33). Finally, you must take personal responsibility to do all that God commands you to do as a change agent (Deut.28:1).

Don’t settle for negative recurring family histories. God can give you a new beginning. God can kick start a glorious destiny for your family. The promises and blessing of Abraham can be real in your family. You are the vessel of change. Let it happen through you. Halleluyah!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, redeem me from the curse of the law.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the blessing of Abraham come to my family and I.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be the change agent for the restoration of Your glorious destinies for my family.

FAITH CONFESSION

I make myself available to God as a threshing instrument for the blessing of Abraham to be poured upon my life, wife, children and family lineage because that is the glory of the call of God on my life as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
