Hallelujah to God in the highest! Today is the 25th day of the 70 days of fasting with prayers. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that grace to run through the remaining days be multiplied to every participant. Amen.
Yesterday, the word of God exposes to the husbandman that a solid relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the first law that guides the successful walk to becoming the good and godly husbandman. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that your relationship with Jesus Christ will grow from strength to strength. Amen.
The second law of the husbandman commands him to work. I mean, work!
The measure of the value of the husbandman is in his work. What gives the husbandman dignity, honour and respect is his work. That is why it is said that there is dignity in labour.
But why must I work?
The first is that work is the nature God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. God worked to create the heaven and earth (Gen.1:3-15). Jesus Christ worked (Jn.5:17). Jesus says, I go about my Father’s business (Lk.2:49). The Person of the Holy Spirit continues to minister to the saints as promised by Jesus Christ (Jn.14:26). And because you are made in the image and likeness of the trinity, you have the ability to work (Gen.1:26-28).
The second is that work is a commandment from God, who made you the husbandman. And God took the man that he has made and put him in the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it (Gen.2:14). The man had no choice with God but to work, so God gave him work to do. But if you choose not work, you must not eat. He that does not work must not eat (2Thess.3:10).
The third is that work provides you the opportunity to earn income for yourself and give to others. Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. I have showed you all things how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:34-35).
Work is part of your make up as the husbandman. There is no alternative to working diligently and righteously with your hands and mind. Work beautifies your ministry as the husbandman and it is the principal channel through which God can prosper you (Ps.1:3b).
Don’t join in the false teaching that the husbandman doesn’t have to work so long as his wife is working. That is not the principles of Scriptures-The Bible. Because you are in the kingdom of God, you must operate and abide by the principles of the kingdom. And one of the principles is WORK.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from the spirit of laziness and slumber.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, open for me opportunities to work with my hands and mind.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, prosper the work of my hands and mind.
FAITH CONFESSION
I work because the Persons of the Trinity work and that is what gives me respect, honour, dignity and value as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
