DILIGENTLY GUARD THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST IN YOU

Spread the love

Bible Texts: 1Tim.2:3-4, Jn.8:32, Ps.35:27, Jn.16:22, Col.2:8, Jn.10:10, Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1, Ps.1:1-3, Rom.16:17, Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15, Jn.10:10, Jos.1:66-8, Rom.12:1-3

By the grace of God, we have entered the 31st day of the fasting with prayers and for the next 10 days, our prayer focus shall be on all round strength and vitality. This is very important because without a sound mental, emotional and physical well being, there is a limit to how far you can go as the husbandman. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that your strength shall not be abated. Amen.

Now, one of the principal ways you can maintain a sound mental, emotional and physical life is through knowledge. The more you know the better you become and that is why the knowledge of the word of God is the source of strength for your spirit, soul and body, hence you must guard the knowledge of Christ in you because that is what satan, sin and the world will always want to steal (Pro.4:19-25, Jn.10:10).

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH (1Tim.2:3-4)

Knowledge of the truth is power. The more of Christ and His word you have at work in you, the more powerful you will reign gloriously, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, financially and relationally as the good and godly husbandman. So, you must guard the knowledge of God’s word in you, diligently.

And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (Jn.8:32)

The knowledge of the truth in your life frees you from bitterness, unforgiveness, envy, badwill, uncontrolled anger, and all forms of iniquities and ungodliness. Furthermore, the knowledge of the truth empowers you to walk in kindness, mercy, forgiveness, faithfulness, truthfulness, patience, temperance, pursue peace, and compassion (1Cor.13:4-8).

To guard the knowledge of the truth from being stolen by satan, sin and the world, you must build a deeper relationship with the Person of the Holy Spirit even as you keep studying, meditating and fellowshipping with the word of God (Ps.1:1, Jn.14:26). Secondly, you have to see God as your father who desires fellowship, hence you must develop friendship with Him (Ps.1:1-2). Thirdly, you must make prayer and fasting your lifestyle and as a routine because it connects you to the power of God for a victorious living (Mk.9:29, Lk.18:1). Finally, you must identify and fellowship with good and godly husbandmen (Ps.133:2, 1Cor.15:33, Heb.10:25).

You have a glorious destiny as the husbandman but you have to partner with God through Jesus Christ in committing to the demands of Scriptures.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me a teachable spirit to learn of Your way, truth and life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus empower me by Your Spirit to seek after You and keep the knowledge of the truth in my life.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, break the spirit of haughtiness in my life and help me to walk in humility of heart.

FAITH CONFESSION

I take delight in studying the WORD OF GOD and I diligently guard the knowledge of the truth from the corruption of satan, sin and the world because that is what I need to secure my heritage as a good and godly husbandman in Jesus Name. Amen.
