GOD WANTS TO YOU BE RICH TOWARDS HIM

We give God all the glory and praise for bringing us to the last day in the first month of the year 2024, our year of ON EAGLE’S WINGS. We also want to give God praise for strength in the past 46 days of the 70 days of fasting and prayers. May the name of Jesus Christ be exalted forever. Amen. I pray that the remaining days of the fast shall be days of visible testimonies in Jesus name. Amen.

But what is God’s desire for the husbandman, which includes you and I?

The ultimate will of God for the husbandman is for him to be rich towards Him. This means that God wants the husbandman to walk before Him and have a quality relationship with Him (Gen.17:1-3, Rom.8:1-2)

But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee, then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Lk.12:20-21)

As the husbandman it is good to have the material things of life because God wants you to live a comfortable life (3Jn.1:2, Jer.29:11). But what is much more important to God is for you to live a life that is pleasing to Him. And that is what you must seek to do.

What happens to me if I am rich towards God?

When you have a quality walk with God, it will always be your delight to obey the word of the Lord as the man, husband and father (Deut.28:1, 1Jn.5:3). And this will impact positively on the quality of your relationships as you will think, talk, act, react and respond as Christ would.

Now, if you want to have a quality relationship with God through Jesus Christ, you must first and most importantly be born again (Jn.3:3-7). This means that you must confess your sins to God, repent of them and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour (2Cor.5:17, Rom.8:1-2, Ps.24:1-2). The second step is that you must make the Bible your trusted friend by studying it and meditating on what it says to you (Ps.1:1-3, Jn.5:39, 2Tim.2:15). The more you study the Bible, the more you know the mind of God concerning your life as the husbandman. And as you think on what God says about you, you begin to notice a steady transformation in your life. Thirdly, you must pray the reality of what God has said in His word into your life by the Holy Ghost (Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Lk.18:1, Mk.9:29, Jn.15:3-5).

Therefore, walk before God in truth and in righteousness and watch how your life will be full of honour and dignity, bringing glory to God and praise to Jesus Christ our Lord, and making you a shinning light in your home and in the market place of life (Matt.5:14-16).

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me of all my trespasses.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to have a quality walk with You by the words of my mouth, the meditation of my heart and conduct of my life.

FAITH CONFESSION

I want to be rich toward God in all that I think, say and do because that is what defines my heritage as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
