One with God is majority! That is how powerful you are as the husbandman. If it takes one man to bring a curse on a family, it will only require one man to reverse it and bring blessing to the family. And you are that man, that change agent.
CHRIST hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree; that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Gal.3:13-14)
It took Jesus Christ to bring the blessing of Abraham and the promise of the Spirit to the Gentiles. It took Abraham to bring the promise of God to Israel (Gen.12:1-3). That is the incredible power of one!
In the year 2000 while I was studying my Bible, the Person of the Holy Spirit said these words to me, “It took one man to bring sin to this world and it took one man to bring salvation; it will not take more than one person to bring the needed change”. This revelation sparked an internal revival in me that God, can through me, re-write the story of my family heritage and bring the change I desperately desired. From that day, I offered myself to God as a vessel to start a new glorious heritage and bring the promises of God to my family lineage.
Regardless of what your father or family lineage may have suffered or plagued with, may be untimely death, lack of success, lack of education, joblessness, barrenness, poverty, no tangible or slow in accomplishing set goals, or any such curse, you can be the beginning of the glorious change and lead the change for others. This is how powerful God has made you (Lk.10:19). You don’t have to suffer what your forefathers or parents suffer. You cannot repeat the same failures of your parents. You can reset the path and start a new lease of life and future for your family.
But for you to be the agent of positive change, you must be born again (Jn.3:4-7). This requires you to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ by confessing your sins, repenting of them and accepting the Lordship of Jesus. Secondly, you must give attention to the study of the Bible to find the promises of God for you, your wife and children (Jn.5:39). Thereafter, you pray and continue to pray the promises into reality, backed by fasting (Lk.18:1, Gal.4:19, Philp.2:13, Mk.9:29). Then, you walk by faith by confessing and declaring the promises of God and stamping your authority as the agent of good and godly change (Rom.10:10). Finally, take personal responsibility to do all that God commands you to do as a change agent (Deut.28:1).
Don’t settle for negative recurring family histories. God has given you a new beginning. God has a glorious destiny for your family. The promises and blessing of Abraham are real in your family as day and night. Be that agent of change. Let it happen by God through you.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, redeem me from the curse of the law.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the blessing of Abraham come to my family and I.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to be the change agent for the restoration of Your glorious destinies for my family.
FAITH CONFESSION
I offer myself to God as a threshing instrument and as a change agent for the release of a glorious lineage and heritage for my family in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
