As the good and godly husbandman, there is a life that God wants you to live-a life that reflects His nature and character because from the beginning you have been made in the image and likeness of God. But for you to live the perfect will of God for you as the good and godly man, husband and father, you must be empowered by the Spirit of Christ.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT OF CHRIST , he is none of his (Rom.8:9)
The Scripture above says that you and I no longer live by the dictates of the flesh rather by the Spirit of God. And it is the Spirit of Christ in us that enables our identity as His own. The Spirit of Christ simply means the virtues that make up the personality of Jesus Christ-righteousness, holiness, compassion, mercy, sacrifice, giving, provision, direction, inspiration, motivation, patience, kindness, protection, authority and power, interceding and so much more.
As the husbandman, you must understand that it is the Spirit of Christ that empowers you to think and act like Jesus Christ would. It is the supernatural grace of God that enables you to reject unrighteousness and embrace goodness. It is the Spirit of Christ that builds your capacity to manifest all the virtues of Jesus Christ. So if you must become the good and godly husbandman, you must desire and pray for the Spirit of Christ into your life.
But how do I access and manifest the Spirit of Christ to live the life of Christ as the husbandman?
Firstly, you must rediscover who you are in Christ as provided in the word of God (Phlip.3:10-12). Self discovery from God’s word is your gateway to accessing and manifesting the Spirit of Christ that will make you behave like Jesus Christ. No one can be greater than what he knows and you cannot give what you do not have (Acts 3:6).
Secondly, you must continue to engage the power of prayer by demanding for the manifestation of the Spirit of Christ in your life (Lev.6:7-9, MK.9:29). You must recognize that you are first a spirit being because you are made in the image and likeness of God, who is Spirit (Gen.1:26-28, Jn.4:24). Hence if you must live the life of Christ, you must connect to God through Jesus Christ on the altar of prayer to access the Spirit of Christ.
The same spirit that raises up Jesus Christ from the grave dwells in you (Romans 8:11)
As the good and godly husbandman, you possess the very life of Christ. All you require is to activate the Spirit by intentionally asking for it in word study, meditation, effectual fervent prayer and faith-filled confession.
Therefore, if you want to make the most of your ministry as the husbandman, you must attain full virtue of the Spirit of Christ and ensure that the Spirit is fully operational in your life because that is the only way you can grow and become the good and godly husbandman.
SPIRITUAL EXERCISE
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, deliver me from spiritual blindness and deafness and give me hearing ears and seeing eyes.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, break the power of carnality in my life.
- Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me up with the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
FAITH CONFESSION
I walk in the newness of life in Christ and I live a life well pleasing unto God, my wife, children and in the marketplace because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
