LOOK INTO THE WORD AND CONTINUE IN IT

Bible Texts: Jas.1:25, Jn.5:39, Ps.119:130-140, 2Tim.2:15, Jos.1:8, Heb.11:6, Jn.14:26, Rom.2:7, Eph.1:18, Ps.1:1-2

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty and CONTINUETH THEREIN, he being not a forgetful hearer but a DOER OF THE WORK, this man shall be blessed in his deed (Jas.1:25)

As the husbandman, God wants you to look into His word as a lifestyle because it is the surest foundation for your success as the good and godly man, husband and father.

Consider these bible passages and think on them.

The entrance of thy words giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple. Order my steps in thy word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Thy word is very pure, therefore thy servant loveth it. (Ps.119:130, 133, 140)

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…… (Jos.1:8)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate day and night (Ps.1:1-2)

The word of God is what gives value to your leadership role as the husbandman. It is the compass that leads you to triumph. It is the anchor on which your today and tomorrow lie. It is your assurance for a great journey as the good and godly man, husband and father.

So, the question before this morning is this. Are you still holding unto God’s word? Do you still believe that God’s word will help you become a successful, prosperous, joyous and happy husbandman?

Don’t give up on God and His word (Heb.11:1,6). Continue holding unto and acting on God and His word. It will provide the change you desire and the life God wants you to live as the good and godly man, husband and father.

The word of God is the life of God. Hold onto it; meditate on it day and night; let it not depart from your heart; practice and run with it day and night.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, let Your word continue to take precedence over all my decisions and plans.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, make Your word to gain root in my heart and bear fruits in my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, establish Your plan for my life as the good and godly man, husband and father.

FAITH CONFESSION   

I seek, continue in the word of God and I act on it delightfully because that is what builds me up as the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
