Bible Texts: Mark 3:23-27, Jn.10:1-3, Gen.4:2, 1Sam.17:20, 1Chro.19:9, Eph.6:25, Eph.6:4, 1Cor.13:4-7, Num.6:22-24, Gen.2:14-15
“I hear in my spirit a clarion call on every husbandman to rise up and take charge of his sheep and sheepfold because satan, sin and the world are aggressively planting ungodly and unrighteous principles, values and orientation in every way possible”
This is why we shall be looking at the principal role of the good and godly husbandman.
One of the definitions of the husbandman from Scripture is that he is a good shepherd (Jn.10:1-2). What this means is that he has a wife and children who are his sheep that he needs to provide for, protect from and guide. The shepherd is the person who has the responsibility of keeping his sheep in the sheep-fold (home or family) as God commands and he is also accountable to God. So, if your sheep and sheepfold succeeds, it is your gain. If they fail, it is your loss. You are principally responsible and accountable. This is why you must do all that you can by the word of the Lord to live up to God’s demands of the good and godly shepherd. You must wake up every day with this consciousness that God has empowered you to act as the good shepherd (Jn.10:1-2).
And he called them unto him and said unto them in parables, how can satan cast out satan? And if a KINGDOM be divided against itself, that KINGDOM cannot stand. And if a HOUSE be divided against itself, that HOUSE cannot stand. And if satan rises up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. NO MAN CAN ENTER INTO A STRONG MAN’S HOUSE, AND SPOIL HIS GOODS, EXCEPT HE WILL FIRST BIND THE STRONG MAN, AND THEN HE WILL SPOIL HIS HOUSE (Mk.3:23-27)
The above Bible passage gives you the authority and faith you need to stop any form of interruptions, distractions and defilement from satan, sin and the world systems. God has empowered you with courage to stay strong in allowing only what is good and godly into your life and the lives of your wife, children and home (Lk.10:19). No man and nothing can enter into your sheepfold and spoil your the joy, happiness, peace that already exist in there and between you and your sheep. This means that you have the final authority of what is permissible and what is not. God has given you that authority. You must rise up and exercise it because you are the good and godly shepherd appointed by God to rule and reign on earth.
As the husbandman, God has called you unto greater responsibilities. He has also empowered you with power and authority to keep and secure your sheep and sheepfold from the influences of satan, sin and the world (Jn.10:29). Now is the time to keep your family fold secured.
