Bible Texts: 2Cor.13:7-8, Jn.5:39, Pro.4:20-24, 2Tim.2:15, 2Tim.3:5, 1Tim.5:17, Jos.1:6-8, Ps.119:105, Jn.8:32, Jn.17:17
One of the challenges many husbandmen have is agreeing with what the word of God says about who they are, and what God expects from them as the good and godly man, husband and father. The choice not to follow the truth of Scriptures is the reason many husbandmen are not living the life of Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman.
But today, God by His word is reminding you that you must embrace the truth of Scriptures and allow the word of God to guide your life’s decisions as the man, husband and father.
Now I pray to God that ye do no evil not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth (2Cor.13:7-8)
As the husbandman, you must understand that the constitution that guides your conduct, utterances, relationships, finances and expectations is the Bible. In Psalms, the word of God says that the word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. When you accept the truth of Scriptures as the final authority in your decisions as the man, husband and father, you become the good and godly husbandman.
What do I stand to benefit if I allow the truth of the word of God to rule my life as the husbandman?
Firstly, the word of God provides you error-free guidance. That is, you will never get it wrong as the man, husband and father when you allow the truth of the word of God to guide you because God is the truth, the way and the life. Imagine the Spirit of God leading you in the discharge of your duty as the man, husband and father. Will you fail? No, you cannot.
Secondly, the word of God illuminates your heart to see farther and better, the perfect will of God for your life as the man, husband and father.
The word shines in darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend it (Jn.1:5)
As the husbandman, revelation or rhema of the word is an important requirement for your reign as the good and godly leader (Eph.1:18). You can only go as far as your eyes can see from God’s word. The more revelation you receive from the Person of the Holy Spirit from the word of God for your life as the husbandman, the better your life becomes.
This is why you cannot and must not fight the truth of Scriptures. All you need do is to joyfully accept all the commandments of God for your life as the man, husband and father and do them delightfully because it is your pathway to becoming the good and godly husbandman.
