THEY BECOME TO YOU WHAT YOU CALL THEM

Bible Texts: Rom.4:17, Gen.2:21-22, Gen.3:20, Pro. 18:21, Matt.12:37, Gen.2:23, Eph.6:4, Eph.5:25-29, 1Cor.13:4-9, Rom.5:5, 1Tim.3:2, Ps.127:3

Today’s teaching is a re-enactment of what the Person of the Holy Spirit laid in my heart to teach in 2022. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that the spirit behind the word shall gain access into your spirit to make you become the good and godly shepherd. Amen.

There is an outcry out there. Many husbandmen are experiencing resistance from their wife and children and are losing the capacity to function as the good and godly men, husbands and fathers because they are not operating in the wisdom of God. And that is what we shall be looking at today from Genesis chapter 2.

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man. And Adam (husband) called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living (Gen.2:21-23)

The Bible passage tells us that when God made Eve, He brought her to Adam, the husbandman. Adam called her Eve, just the same way he named other animals and plants that God created. And whatever name Adam called them, that is what they become, including Eve. This is the wisdom of God. Your wife and children become to you what you call them.

If you call your wife and children such derogatory names such as stupid, a never-do-well, failure, animal, foolish, useless, good-for-nothing humans, they will become so to you. If you call them success, wise, fruitful, supportive, strong, useful and positively affirm them, they become so to you. This is because the power of life and death is in your tongue and you will always eat the fruits of what your say.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof (Pro.18:21)

As the good and godly shepherd, you must understand that there is an irrevocable power in your tongue-the power of life and death. If you call your wife or children devils, you will see the manifestation of devilish responses and actions from them. If you call them good and godly, they will manifest same to you. God wants the lips of your tongue to speak graceful words to your wife and children, regardless of the offences or misbehavior or challenges.

Therefore, I encourage you to redirect your talk to speak words of peace, honour, respect, grace, motivation, positive affirmation, encouragement and faith. I want you to desist from speaking negative words toward them, even when you are unhappy with their behaviour. Just change your language from negative to positive. Let the love of Christ be shed abroad in your heart (Rom.5:5).

Call your wife and children what God calls them and experience and enjoy the fruits of your lips which include peace, honour, faithfulness, respect and encouragement.

Praise be unto Jesus Christ.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for speaking ungraceful words to my wife and children.

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, fill me with the love of Christ and empower my tongue to speak right words to them.

•           Father, in the Name of Jesus, make the graceful words of my mouth forceful in their lives.

FAITH CONFESSION

I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that my wife and children are gifts from God and they are fearfully and wonderfully made. I speak words of grace and honour to them because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
