UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF VISION

A lot of times the husbandman does not appreciate the importance and power of vision as one of the most crucial tools he requires to maximize his leadership role in the sheepfold. This explains why so many husbandmen give up quite easily and quickly when they are faced with challenges and many more give up so soon. But if the husbandman can put in front him, the vision God has for him as the man, husband and father, he becomes stronger to face any challenge, come out victorious and refuses to surrender to the forces of divorce, bitterness, unforgiveness, hatred and malice.

Now what can you see?

Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying Jeremiah, WHAT SEEST THOU? And I said I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen for I will hasten my word to perform it. (Jer.1:11-12) KJV

God asked the Prophet Jeremiah, what can he see and he said he saw a rod of an almond tree. There is a plan and purpose for which God made you the husbandman and placed you in the sheepfold as the shepherd. If you do not see God’s plans, you will be unable to make the most of your role as the man, husband and father. Hence, just like God asked Jeremiah, He is also asking you today, what can you see about your life as the husbandman, your marriage, your home, your wife and children?

As the good and godly husbandman, you can, by the power of vision, lead successfully as the man, husband and father, regardless of the challenges that come with being a leader. Vision is life. Vision gives meaning and value to your existence as the husbandman. It is the motivation you will always need to remain on course in the pursuit of God’s perfect plan for your life.

It is important for you to know that the vision you have for your life as the husbandman is painted in picture from the word of God. The word of God gives you the picture of who you are as the man, husband and father. All you need and must continue to do is to search the Scriptures, meditate on it and allow the picture to be firmly rooted in your heart and mind (Jn.5:39, Rom.12:1-2, Gal.4:19).

When you can see from the word of God, the picture of your future as the man, husband and father, you will not be discouraged and hopeless. Rather, you will be empowered, inspired and motivated to keep pressing until the vision becomes a reality in your life.

Again, what can you see about yourself as the man, husband and father?  

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

• Father, in the Name of Jesus, open my inner eyes to see Your glorious plans from Your word for me as the man, husband and father.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to run with the vision from Your word for my life.
• Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me with the spirit of faith and boldness and help me to see the fulfillment of Your glorious plans for my life.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am filled with the vision of God for my life as the man, husband and father and I run with the vision with diligence and commitment, notwithstanding the challenges because that is what makes me the good and godly husbandman in Jesus name. Amen.
