REDEEMING THE TIME, FULFILLING PURPOSE

Bible Texts: Eph.5:14-17, 1Cor.15:33, Rom.12:1-3, Matt.6:22, Jn.7:9-11, Is.43:18-19, 2Cor.5:20, 2Tim.4:7-8, Philps.3:14, Ps.1:1-3

This teaching was done on the 1st day of January 2024, and just this morning as I was talking to my heavenly Father, I heard the Spirit of God leading me to re-enact this teaching in view of the fact that today is the 30th and we are gradually coming to the end of this year 2024. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you will redeem the time and live out God’s purpose for your life as the good and godly man, husband and father. Amen.

Wherefore, he saith awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil. Wherefore, be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is (Eph.5:14-17)

The above Bible passage comes with important instructions for you and I, as we journey through the remaining months of the year 2024.

The first is that your life as the husbandman is measured by time. Secondly, what you and I will become as the good and godly man, husband and father depends on how we will spend our time this year. Thirdly, your time and mine can be stolen, lost and abused if we do not redeem the time allotted for the year 2024, which is 366 days.

Now, what does it mean to redeem the time? It simply means to use time wisely, set right priorities, pursue the perfect will of God, identify right values and let it influence your decisions.

You and I must not run the remaining months of 2024 carelessly. You and I must make good use of the time of each day, week and month by giving attention to learning and doing those things that will build us up to becoming the good and godly men, husbands and fathers.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ (Philp.2:5)

Jesus Christ, the perfect example of the good and godly husbandman, redeemed the time He spent while He walked the earth (Jn.7:9-11). Every day counted for Him. He went about each day with clear purpose why He came and in 3 and half years, He did so much that the world is yet to recover from. He made eternal impact on humanity. That is the mind you must have.

This is the time to rebuild your life and live as the good and godly man, husband and father. Make the months ahead and beyond count profitably for yourself as the good and godly husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to establish good and godly priorities for my life as the man, husband and father this year, 2024.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to connect with good and godly relationships that will build me up as the good and godly husbandman.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to please You in all that I do this year, 2024.

FAITH CONFESSION

I am committed to redeeming the time in the year 2024 because I want my life to reflect the nature and character of the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
