REDEEMING THE TIME, FULFILLING PURPOSE (2)

Spread the love

Bible Texts: 2Cor.6:17-18, Ps.1:1, 1Jn.5:17, 1Cor.15:33-34, 1Cor.14:40, Rom.6:1, 1Cor.14:20, 1Cor.14:25. 1Cor.16:9, 1Cor.16:13

Yesterday, we began to explore from the word of God the importance of redeeming the time and we understood the characteristics of time. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you and I as husbandmen shall make use of the time God as given to us to fulfill His plans and purposes for our lives as good and godly men, husbands and fathers. Amen.

Today, let us dig deeper into the word of God to find out the firm decision you must make today that will help you become the good and godly husbandman. It is from 2nd Corinthians chapter 6.

Wherefore, come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord and touch not the unclean things and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you and ye shall be my sons and daughters saith the Lord Almighty (2Cor.6:17-18)

The word of God says that you must come out from among them and separate yourself. It also says that you must not touch unclean things. God wants you to come out from relationships, associations and activities that take you away from walking in righteousness as the man, husband and father. God wants you to walk out from the people and activities that make you do the things that displease God and contradicts the truth of the word of God.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful (Ps.1:1)

As the husbandman, God demands accountability from you, hence, you must be mindful of who you walk with, who you stand with and who you seat with.

But why does God want me to come out from among them and touch not unclean things?

It is because you are an ambassador of Christ (2Cor.5:20)

Secondly, it is because God wants you to be blessed as the man, husband and father (Ps.1:1a).

Therefore, as we come to the end of July 2024, let this be your commitment.

Awake to righteousness and sin not, for some have not the knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame (1Cor.15:34)

Make a firm decision today to stop those ungodly habits. Make a commitment today to disassociate yourself from ungodly relationships and associations that take you away from God and His words. Make a commitment to walk in the light of God’s word for your life as the husbandman.

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE

  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, forgive me for disobeying Your instructions and keeping ungodly associations and relationships.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, give me boldness and courage to disassociate myself from all forms of ungodliness and ungodly relationships.
  • Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to exercise power and authority over the influences of satan, sin and the world and make me walk in righteousness.

FAITH CONFESSION

I have power with God through Jesus Christ, and by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I deliver myself from all ungodly associations, relationships and friendships and join myself to godly people and company because I am committed to living as the good and godly man, husband and father in Jesus name. Amen.
